Does anyone think we will sign a world class player? Or just average to good premiership proven players who want to step up?
So far it's been average to good. Lambert and Lallana don't really inspire too much confidence... ... but now we have the Suarez money- hopefully now the big names will come streaming in! lol... probably not though.
Been following Liverpool for nearly 4 decades.. I honestly can't remember the last time we signed a World Class player! But we've a decent record turning our signings into World Class players... Rush, King Kenny, Souness, Fowler, Owen (at his hits he was and he still played for us then), Alonso, Mash, Torres, Suarez.. Hopefully the next ones to follow (not out but step up to world class) are the likes of Sterling, Ford, Sturrdige..
If only. Last season we had an "attack first, attack second and third, and don't bother defending attitude" I loved it.
I don't mind if we miss out on the marquee signings as long as we're competing for top, top prospects with massive potential. Don't really know if that's been the case so much this window. Can and Marko(if we get him) could turn out to be, but Lallana is more along the Bony line. Very good player, but not world class, and doesn't really have the potential to become world class. Bring in someone like Ricardo Rodriguez, Roberto Firmino, Shaqiri, or even try for a Draxler or Pjanic who have the quality but are also at the age where they can still make big strides to improve even further.
Didnt suarez famously say when he first joined us that he wasnt even the best footballer in hi s family anthat his brother barry ? Was much more talented. Barry? Is currently a baker in salto. Lets sign him up
Luis Suarez and his brother Barry should set up a pie shop on fleet street selling the "worst pies in London". Honestly? Is his name really 'Barry' Suarez?
Aston Villa have signed Kieron Richardson. He looks proper old these days! please log in to view this image I remember him having a great England debut and being dubbed the next best thing. It was all down hill from there.
