So we head into the new season with not many changes but a decent core group of younger players. So who do we want as captain? For me i can only see Ned. When fit, he is immense and would grace most teams in the Prem. he's young, agile and a true believer in our club. Add to that i think he really wants to be a QPR player. Now, out of all the senior players we will have next season, Ned is the only one i can see playing (almost) every game. He'd be my first name on the sheet and the similarities between him and Paul parker cannot be ignored. 9Yeah....they are black...blah blah blah !) id be happy to start the season with him as our leader and apart from helping us retain him, he is young enough to be our leader for the next few years... i dont discount joey, dunne or Hill but i just dont see them playing every game next season. Opinions... should we start a "Ned for captain campaign'... See how far we can get it...?
Or Rio if he comes in. He'd be an imposing presence, has buckets of top level experience and would have the respect of the rest of the squad
Ned may not even be playing if we sign both Ferdinand and Caulker. Not something that I would agree with. Barton for me.
Joey Barton He can handle the pressure and I think the armband improves his performances We'll be scrapping for dear life in some games next season and you want your captain to epitomise work rate and desire.
It's got to be Heskey or Rio. They'd be an imposing presence, have buckets of top level experience and would have the respect of the rest of the squad Last time we shipped in a celebrity and immediately made him captain without having to earn it, we fell flat on our face. But Heskey is top top drawer and I can't see any reason why it would be the same this time.

Too wooden for the Premier League - four legs and bow front (to say nothing of the kit - long drawers with cockbeading...)
