Right now chaps, a lot of animals fascinate me, bears, wolves, otters & so forth.
I've just been sat watching this tiny spider, about the size of a pin head spinning a web on my computer desk.
They truly are amazing creatures. Come in every shape from a pin prick to the size of a mans hand.
And did you know that every spider in the world is venomous?
That's how they kill their prey. I'm still watching the little bastard as I write, he's very industrious & is just climbing up & down his thread.

Sometimes if I go to put the bins out on a dewy or drizzly morning, I look at the Spiders webs on the bins & think, wow what a work of art that is.
Honestly, a human being couldn't recreate that could they?

I hate killing spiders, in fact, there's a couple of ruthless bastards in my conservatory tucked behind some PVC. Watched one of them take a wasp out the other day, total hard bastard. I often smash bluebottles with a paper or something and pick them up by the wing with a tissue and drop them in the spider's webs, when the fly comes round and starts buzzing it's feeding time!

Having said that, I emptied out a compost bin couple of weeks ago and it was full of dirty black crispy evil looking ones, had to get the pressure washer out and deal with them.

No well, different things interest different folk, no problem with that.
I'm still watching him/her, not sure how you can tell the sex of a spider.
It's just going up & down & from one side of the desk to the other.
It's never stopped grafting all day, unlike me who has managed the square root of **** all.
I quite like spiders & wouldn't kill one unless I had to.
    They just amaze me.

Billy the male spider's p**is is on the end of one of the legs - whether its big enough to see with the naked eye is another matter!

Very nice, Posh, I saw some at Edinburgh zoo & was surprised at how big they actually are.
I'd always thought they'd be about the same size as a German Shepherd dog but these ones were much bigger.
    Thanks for that. <ok>

Try having a camel spider appear on the armchair you're sitting in at the time!

I couldn't have moved any faster if I'd had 8 legs myself!

Yes - dunno if it is all spiders but I was watching a program and it was on about it - I can remember thinking it will be a bit strange knowing that and a spider walks over my leg/arm

Does anyone know why they actually howl at the moon?
The wolf is a much maligned animal in folklore, same as the rat.

Imagine if humans were similar, we'd have to stick our feet up a womans box, lol.
