Was very impressed with this video Love his willingness to bring the ball out of defence I know its Youtube etc Just think ppl have been put off by his price + his antics
To be fair, the Swans play a lovely brand a football, not to dissimilar to the type we play, if he can bang in that many goals, being their figure head, should bode well in being able to fit into our system!
Don't forget about Sterling and Coutinho, both press and work hard. completely depends on how you view Gerrard in the DM/HM role. I think he is replaceable and it doesn't even need to be a world known star!
There is a good counter arguement to saying our transfer record is bad. Despite us making some bad, or only long term transfers we have still improved greatly and competed for the title. This shows that Rodgers has done brilliantly getting the best out of players we already had and improving players. It took some time but its clear to see. Henderson, Flanagan, Enrique, Skrtel and Sterling have been revolutions. Even Downing improved noticeably under Rodgers mentoring. Lets see if he can do the same for some more players. Borini, Allen (who is on the rise) and Sakho (who was only really stopped by injuries last season).
One thing that has occurred to me is who will take free kicks around the area now with Suarez going and Gerrard being rested do we have a decent free kick taker? Obviously we have Aspas for corners.
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/166178-lfc-statement-suarez-to-leave Deal done. Liverpool Football Club today issued the following statement in relation to the future of Luis Suarez. Liverpool FC confirms that Luis Suarez will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with FC Barcelona. The player now has permission to complete the usual formalities, which will then conclude the transfer. We would like to thank Luis for his contribution and the role he played in helping bring Champions League football back to Anfield. Everyone at Liverpool Football Club wishes Luis and his family well for the future.
I think, just about, im getting used to the idea of him not being in our team We will be far more balanced, thats the route im going down
http://www.fcbarcelona.com Big splash on their website. Sky Sports say £75 million, I'm very happy with that. So who do we buy?
We'll have a different style but I reckon we'll continue to have a "attack first, defend second" attitude.
Borini can hit a sweet one but will not start most games. Lallana? For years Gerard took them when others players were clearly a lot better at them. Aurelio, Riise, Alonso, Aquilani.
Can't believe this Bony ****, I'm not a fan and we don't need him. Sturridge and Lambert are the 2 that can play up there we need a mobile attacking midfielder who can play up top. Sanchez was perfect but he's at the Gooners so surely we look at players like him.
