True. To my mind his second best film, after The Wedding Singer. <ok>

    so.... transformers 4.

who has seen it what are the views. i saw it last night.

my view is not a patch on Transformers 3, quite long in set up as in effect it is a whole new trilogy so prob better to compare to T1

    many many plot holes.

i am convinced one character mystically appeared in the car with the others getting away near the end (female) then basically walked off when they all got out to "move the mysterious artefact" that always occurs in transformers

overall good action, a bit contrived and convenient in parts.

    saw it in 3d....

"the honey" not good... not a patch on t3 and not even megan fox who's ruined herself imo

finally mark whalberg was decent in it but again the old cast was just as good but it didn't get any better with new cast

I'll watch it soon and let you know, MITO. Collected the comics and toys as a kid, so I still have a soft spot for the little fellas. <ok>

Watched T4 and it was far from impressive.

Loved the initial opening scene in the first film when the decepticon transformed at the base !

    Anyone seen True Blood?

It's HBO so might give it a go <ok>

Vampire stuff isn't my thing, but I watched the first series of The Vampire Diares (22 episodes!) and was very impressed. Got the next three to watch, but for some reason haven't continued. Might swap and give the first season of True Blood a go (12 episodes), then decide which to carry on with.

I am not surprised at this. it didn't absorb me enough as it were. if you can sit at the move and start spotting errors and think oh god why then there's a bit problem cos it should really hold your attention. The action when it comes is still very good but it's not "different" from what went before in terms of small people being thrown about by big robots, robots rolling about and such. I felt mark whalbergs character will too contradictory and in the end it took way to long to get going as a story.

I have a rule... no zombies, no vampires... the reason being its too twilighty and too jumping the bandwagon. so i refuse true blood and the dmaned etc.

That was my rule - Until I watched 'The Walking Dead' which was brilliant.

Then I got given a box set as a gift of the Vapire diaries, so simply gave it a go and was impressed.

But overall I can't stand Vampire and all other weird things - It's just so happened the last 2 related things have been very good.

    Is it a long film?

I can't stand Transformers, but want to take my step son to see it as he loves them.

If it's long I'll take so Valium and have a sleep <laugh>

its about 2.5 hours or felt like it. its good but not that good. I would say to you that you need to tell the kid if you love

    a) the old heros like Witwicky, lennox, epps or simons then hes going to be very dissappointed

    b) if he's a horny teenager expecting a megan fox/ rosie huntington hoeny.. again going to be quite dissappointed the teenager daughter angle is played by nicola peltz and she IMO is a 5/10 at best. looks she's ok but the comparison is bad. Ithin ktheres a chinese girl who is givng the old martial arts stuff but again it aint young megan fox drapped over a car or huntingotn i na tight dress

    c) if he will see through crap like the worst... and i mean worst irish accent since tom cruise then you are in trouble. It was god awful.

now not be be a spoil sport but there is a scene where basically this new family have the feds come down on them hard and mysteriously a ralley car comes from nowhere with the irish boyfriend driving to save them.. it's like... FFS

then robots seem to repair themselves mystically... then don't

someone appears in a chase scene inside bumblebee then they all walk off and i was.. where or how did she get i nthis car

and finally the arrival of the dino bots for me was huge let down as right at the start of the movie there's something then nothing happens until right near the end and it feels contrived how they are basically brought in.

but still i n3-d and in action its classic transformers but it feels for me like the follow up batman after dark knight... you can't follow T3 with this but perhaps i'm just thinknig t3 and being unfair... its hardly worse than t2, i would not say that.
