We've just won our opening match in Italy tonight! New signing Silvestri was in goal. Smith scored 6 of them. Even Hunt scored a hat-trick. This was obviously extremely high quality opposition we were up against tonight.... FT: Tonight's scorers were: Smith (6), Hunt (3), Morison (2), Poleon (2), Norris, Murphy and Walters #lufc
Decent enough start with a different team each half. Little more than a competitive training exercise. So can't get too excited. But did like Hockadoodlemagandi's comments on what he's trying to do with the squad. Something about qanting the players to pass the ball. Not sure based on the last few years I know what he's talking about. But we seemed to do okay today.
Seems like a no win situation at the moment for hocks day. He's damned if he does and damned if he don't. Beat the opposition, they're **** as they clearly were today. Draw or lose were ****. It's clear hell have to earn the respect of most fans, failing that throw them 50 quid for a drink
Oh dear, we play poor teams that even make Hunt 'excel'. We'll cancel Ross' replacement and be keeping him next! Ffs
Surely this was a complete waste of time? Poor planning from your club to play such a game, it serves no purpose. I'd be livid and worried in equal measure if I were you.
The coaching staff have already stated, prior to the match, that this was simply a pre-season training session, just like all the other sessions they've put in to date. Nothing else had to be read into it, whether defeated or victorious. Now why I'm telling you, I do not know. If you're that interested, start following the right people on Twitter.
The possitives are Hockaday finally has a win to his name and the whole team got some lunch cos paddy kenny didnt go with them oh and Olof and Chesh now think Leeds are gonna be world champions and have both gone to bed with a box of tissues each and a poster of Noel Hunt
Tell me the negatives? It was a practice match to kick start our pre season and all the players have had a run out and some have scored lots of goals. It's quite simple really...
There's always positives to playing any opposition even just to get a run out. Personally though if I were in charge I wouldn't have even mentioned we were playing them to fans, no need in even talking about it really
Of course the fans need to know, In a few years time in a trivia quiz you might get asked did hunt ever score a hattrick for leeds?
