Most of the teams outside the top 6 lose quite often, we just need to lose less than 3 others! After some of the random results last season, I don't fancy predicting anything, I can't believe even the diehard Palace & Sunderland fans thought they'd get some of their results. We're entitled to be excited, we've been waiting a long time to see those fixtures. It's not stupid Mr FT, it has taken a bit of time to get used to, have still found myself clicking on the championship section of pages before remembering 'we got promoted, yeah!!!'
How many remember our last opening day home fixture against Everton? ... I do ... was in Pen 2 of the old kop ... they were the Champions and we had a new guy playing centre forward having sold our old one to Everton (some bloke called Lineker) at the end of the previous season ... our new guy scored 2 in a 3-1 win (I seem to recall) ... anybody care to name him?
Not a bad guess but nope ... this guy went on to form a pretty good rhyming strike duo at another club ...
The fans did give him some grief .... one of the problems was that he replaced Lineker and the fans expected him to be similar in terms of his attributes ... he was a very different type of player and suffered a bit because of it IMHO ...
Leicester are famous for first half performances in the Premier league. It was true that if results were summoned in the first half Leicester would be in Europe.
I think the fitness levels at our club, coupled with youth, means we should certainly be a 90 minute team this time around.
