I have been resigned to bony leaving the day the season ended tbh. We would not be trying to recruit strikers like we have been doing otherwise....
Swansea City hope to get Celtic centre-back Virgil van Dijk for £6m, as Premier League club look to sell Michu and Chico Flores Celtic's star centre-back Virgil van Dijk is wanted by Swansea City Swans are prepared to offer £6million but Scottish champions are hesitant Michu did not travel to USA for pre-season tour and Chico Flores is also to be offloaded by Swansea Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ok-sell-Michu-Chico-Flores.html#ixzz373rkrmiG Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
Crystal Palace are keen on signing Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey before the next Premier League season starts. The 22-year-old has come into his own since being given time to prove himself on the pitch at the Liberty Stadium - a chance he was rarely allowed during his stint with Liverpool at Anfield. A move to Palace would see the midfielder get into the starting line up, which Shelvey has admitted is high on his agenda: 'It's about confidence and knowing you'll get game time if you do well.' Thursday's Liverpool stories from other newspapers and websites Swanning off Liverpool are readying a double swoop on Swansea this summer. The Daily Mail report that the Reds are keen on doing a deal for BOTH Wilfried Bony and Ben Davies . The Swans are prepared for both to leave the club this offseason with Spurs strongly linked with both. But now Brendan Rodgers is ready to make his interest known with a joint bid. Spurs apparently offered Gylfi Sigurdsson for Davies and keeper Michel Vorm but it was dismissed out of hand. The Ivorian striker is valued at around £20million while Welsh left-back is a more modest £8m. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...ansfer-rumours-reds-eye-3837171#ixzz373sqakvD Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook
The only thing certain is the Daily Mail is a useless rag full of crap. Not totally useless as it can be used for arse wiping.
I take the mirror has not been listening to the whole Spurs-Davies goings on, where £8m wasn't enough lol
Brendan will win the race for bony and Davies and are preparing a £28m deal. As Liverpool are in the champions league this season then bony will definitely be interested i reckon and Davies will go with him if he had any sense. It will be a blow to us but not a disaster as we will cope like we always do....
Heard ont the radio yesterday that we have had a 5m bid accepted for deeney. Seems a lot of money. Dai do you honestly believe that Bony will leave for 18m, bearing in mind that we value davies at 10m. Just thinking about this. That must make Luke Shaw 3 x a better player than Davies. Definately under valued.
They did a comparison of Davies v Shaw on Sky the other day. The stats (eg passing/tackling/crossing etc) were remarkably similar. I'd concede that Shaw has that extra yard of pace, but the difference between £31 million and £8 million seems unjustified.
So why do we fall for it every time. I just pisses me off that clubs feel they can take the piss out of us and we will just do as we are told as we are little old Swansea. I look at Southampton and in all fairness their talent has been raped, But look at the money they have been getting for their players. Shaw - 30m, lallana -25m and There are others muted for good money. Our top striker just back from the world cup having scored twice and netted over 20 goals last season is rated as 6m less than Lallana and 11m less than Shaw. Please. I dont mind losing players because that is the nature of the beast and the so called big clubs will always be vultures rather than produce thier own. but lets just have what our players are worth.
Liverpool will up their £28m for the pair i have no doubt. Bony is the one they really want and they have triggered his get out clause and as bony has been at Liverpool before and they can offer him champions league football then they must be odds on favorites to sign him. Davies on the other hand will be a fool to turn down a chance to join the great club and i think £10m will be accepted by us after trying to get a bit more that pool will rebuff as too much....They will be Multi Millionaires over night if they sign...
Bony is worth at least £28 million on his own. This is after all the clown that spent £15million on Allen. If he wants the pair of them for me he needs to be looking in the £45million region.
Arsenal sign Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez for 30 million . Well that should be 1 less team hunting Bony ...
