"Michu is one of the best ive ever seen in a swans shirt, all of a sudden people are considering him a problem"

He's only a problem Norway because he apparently doesn't want to play for us now his mentor Laudrup has gone - this is my personal view. Clearly he's having difficulty dealing with that departure as much as his girlfriend's. Only my opinion but I remain convinced that his foot problems have been exaggerated, and when he did return briefly there appeared to be no desire to play for the shirt. Completely un-Michu like. So yes, for whatever reason he IS a problem - but one that'll soon be gone I think.

I posted during Michu's layoff that I felt we had already, the previous season, seen the best of him in a Swans' shirt. It seems that was perhaps an accurate, though regretful, observation.

It really doesn't help when the manager is giving the impression that any of our players could go if a decent offer comes in!

Making statements like, "I want him to stay, but we're the same as every club in the world. If an offer comes in and it's right for the club and the player feels he wants to move on, then you discuss it."

Weak - even if he thinks / believes it.

"I want him to stay and the club will do all we can to keep him in Swansea." Strong.

No wonder we need a full time psychologist.

Thats not weak, its being realistic for a club our size. I would argue that it is a strong statement as he is saying the player would only go if it's right for the club.
Your version of strong could be compared to Liverpool showing how desperate they were to keep Suarez last year as those were the soundbites coming out of Brendans mouth among other past players associated with the club.

Well, nobody knows the exact reasons but its looking like his injury was minimal and that he basically didn't want to work under Monk .

The reason WHY he perhaps doesn't want to work under Monk is the issue here , Michu has never been trouble in his whole career, putting loyalty before his own personal gain ,he has obviuosly felt that an injustice has taken place somewhere along the line, maybe Canas,Poz,Chico felt the same with Chico taking it a step further and having a fight with Monk.

Michu has been around the block enough times to know that managers get moved on, but no doubt something happened with some of our own senior players to make the likes of Michu think the Swans arnt for him any more .

We will never know i suspect but ive heard lots , it mostly revolves around Ash,Monk, leon and one or two board members who have the ear of those 3 , basically player power and a personal feeling that "Brenden didn't do it this way " same as when sousa was here "roberto didn't do it this way "

I said some weeks ago that the Laudrup fallout will linger, if good players want to go because of what happened and the likes of Bony are looking at us getting weaker do you think he will want to stick around ? already talk of liverpool . Pablo has been quiet the whole time, he was obviously very professional and keeping his head down and working till the end of the season, but again it says everything when his first day back he apparently tells the club he also wants away .

The situation is a total mess and i hope we aint just gonna throw money at the problems, that will lead to ruin.

As i said before the only saving grace is that the board believe they are doing what is best for the club, and we know they would never intentionally hurt SCFC .

Thats why I want to sell and not buy norway. Took a great run to get to where we are now . Lets not spendit all in panic buying ( like Gomis imo ) if we stay up great , if we dont , we go down with a ton of money and big names off the payroll

Not sure Gomis was a panic buy, roof. Laudrup wanted him last season,if you recall.

Not sure Gomis was a Laudrup target or not TBH . I think it was all a little bit strange there too, Laudrup agreeing to work with the clubs targets and Laudrup also getting in his own was always gonna be bit of a muddle .

We had Ki signed by the club, Laudrup came in and brought JDG !
The club brought in Bartley , Laudrup brought in Amat .
The club brought in Jonjo Shelvey , Laudrup brought in Pozuelo .

Laudrup reckons he gave a list of his targets to Jenkins but none of them were signed, all a bit odd , im sure the likes of Bony and Gomis were on an agreed list but i think they might well have been lower on Laudrups list than the clubs.

Gomis will do ok IMO. The worry for me is that he has been signed to play every week, where does that leave Bony ? im slightly worried that us pushing the boat out for Gomis means Bony has told the club he wants out .

I really hope im wrong on that one though !! wilf and gomis will be a major handful together, hope we see it .

    Thanks for clarification,Norway.

There's much to unravel in the near future, but one thing is already clear, and that is Monk won't be needing a Berlitz,"Spanish for beginner's" handbook.

I dont get all this 'He is a problem lets get rid'. Now surely the signs of a good manager is being able to deal with these issues, use your man management skills and solve the problem. If GM only solution to every issue is to sell a player or get release them then we wont have a team.

I am just getting a little worried that GM is just the face and mouth piece for HJ.

I have to ask you Dai, who is telling you this. I hope you are right. I am not a GM hater, Just worried from what I am seeing that he is not able to deal with issues and his only way is to say GO.

    100% spot on .

Thats part of the problem here IMO . "If you wanna go then go" or "not part of my plans so best look for a new club" are terms other teams can throw about but we need to be careful about .

What is even more glaring is that players like Tate and Jazz seem to suddenly have more of a future than players that have actually proven they can operate at prem level ! It looks like the Spanish clique has just been replaced by the Monk clique , hangers on included .

The only things to go on are that Monk is desperate to do well for himself and the club and that the board would not be doing any of this stuff if they didn't have their reasons.

We still dont know how much Laudrup got but i bet it was at least £2m add that to monks 500k bonus for keeping us up,michu leaving the club on the cheap/loan , canas and poz getting paid a fortune to sit in the stands and it all adds up to a multi million pound situation that nobody seems to know anything about. Millions of pounds going out of the club for a personality clash dont quite wash with me, something serious was going on ,especially when there were not one not two but 3 fights in training !! or so we are told ..

And there is us thinking we are a club run by fans for the fans .
