Maybe slow news day, but paper talk of Morgan Amalfitano with QPR interested too: https://www.clubcall.com/hull-city/midfielder-linked-with-move-15-1732703.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-qpr-face-transfer-battle-3836260
Thought Figgy never really did anything wrong when he played at centre third for us. His worst moments/games came at left back.
I used to **** my pants when Figgy played LB later on in the season, I wanted him gone. But at the start of the season he was good, I think his mum died? mid season and looked shocking after that. We should keep him for CB as backup at least, I think there is still a decent player in there in the right position
I think his brother was kidnapped/murdered/killed in an accident (one of those) back in Honduras so he was allowed to leave on compassionate leave, but it clearly affected him emotionally and physically and he wasn't the same player when he came back. However he looked decent at the World Cup, so he'd still make a good squad player.
Just to throw another conspiracy theory in the hat, I thought it was his son who was ill or been in an accident! Edit: Philhul beat me to it! FFS
Agreed. Yes he did have a good World Cup all things considered. Spurs have already told Dawson what is what on that point. I have heard that brother Andy is soon to have a house guest.
Meyler meeting up with Fraizer Campbell tomorrow in Portugal? Either Cardiff are over here as well or he's on his way back
It seems the Dawson transfer is being held up by Spurs not getting their business done early. They don't want to let him go until they've got their men in.
They said in a couple online articles that the hold up before was that Dawson was refusing to agree to a relegation clause. I suppose if it is now being held up by Spurs that the relegation clause issue has been taken care of?
I agree, i would completely change the set up, i am not denying that just loaning players out is not the be all and end all. The top premier league players very rarely get loaned out and i was just using Southampton as an example of a club who don't loan players out who have a great youth set up. We need something new and different but loaning players out is not necessarily going to make us the best academy ever alone.
