I really meant in the context of the time. £3m wouldn't have bought a leg of some of the signings we made.

 

Every signing we made was a luxury signing though.

How much do you reckon a 3m player would cost today?

3m player from back then would probably be worth close to 10m now what would players like John Charles be worth in today's transfer market 100m?

Thanks Ellandback for helping me with my posting issue. Been registered since the beeb closed 606 but couldn't post coz I'm a dime bar. Up and running now with new registration. Been supporting Leeds since 96. First game I saw was the loss to Villa in the cup. What a start!

Parnee, you made it fella!!! What a crap day the Leeds v Villa Cup final was. We were bloody awful that day!!!

 

I did mate, nice one good to be here and be able to finally comment. yeah think I must be a sucker for punishment was an awful day but got in my blood. Leeds till I die now.

 

welcome buddy, I was at that Villa game Lukic was terrible if I remember was only 5 year old mind and stayed in the same hotel as the team was an amazing experience.

 

We were soooo bad that day. Players just didn't turn up, or even look interested.

 

Lukic worst mistake was against Rangers when he saw the light.....
