Doing a Google News search for Bony- and most of the articles from the last week are linking him with Spurs... only a couple link him to us.
Divock Origi's imminent arrival would strengthen the squad, but Brendan Rodgers will want an experienced forward to fill Suarez's role immediately next season. ? thought he was going straight back on loan? so how would that strengthen the ruddy squad!
So you're saying you know something the media doesn't? Inside information? I've only really watched Swansea when they play us- (maybe couple other times) so I don't know too much about the lad. He certainly has the stats to back up being a good signing. Over a goal every two games ratio for a team like Swansea is a good stat for any striker! Over a goal a game in the Dutch league the previous season... who else did that? Oh yeah, Suarez! On the downside... being an African international player- he'll be gone for a month or two the start of every other year during one of the busiest fixture periods.... there again, could always count on Suarez to miss a month or two for biting someone... Media are giving him to Spurs at the moment though!
I remember I had mixed opinions about Sturridge- was neither for, nor against him... I was suspicious of anyone that Chelsea would let us have for that price. Thought he looked decent, but not a team player. Swansea are asking Spurs for £25mill for Bony... so presumably, that's the price we would have to match too if we were interested.
What could "Gracias Liverpool" if nothing to do with us? I like Bony and I reckon he would be a good squad player for us. However, I don't like signing squad players. We should be buying players that improve our strongest eleven and letting the squad take care of its self. I didn't want Sturridge. The reasons being the same as why he still irritates the hell out of me at times now; velcro boots! He always wants too many touches rather than doing the quick one or two touch football in dangerous areas like is often needed. I think his finishing is poor too.
