Morning all, well that result was a bit of a shock. Work mate of mine is in Germany at a partner conference, he was in a bar last night with 40 odd Germans and it was a free bar - I hate to think of how bad his hangover is this morning!
I think shock is the word..... I don't think I can remember seeing a team so comprehensively taken apart. Perhaps an end of a zeitgeist for Brazil..... clearly a new approach is needed... I also believe if Neymar and Silva had played and without Luiz as captain it would have been a different game. From the off they were exposing themselves to a German counter attack... Brazil also had several chances to score easily and were unlucky with that. Germany march on.....
So much of the German play was built on the fast counter attack, something I hope to see from our team again in the coming season. I cannot see so many Championship defences being quite as generous though. Looks like a day of sunshine and showers in this part of the country, so I expect to see some T de F this afternoon. Crowds yesterday not nearly so large here as they were in England.
Dave watches the games in the morning and asks people not to say anything about it when he comes on here (only on here - not other threads). i'd forgotten and had posted something about one of the goals so deleted it.
