The Curragh

1;40-Lady Rochford E/W 14/1 BOG

Daughter of Invincible Spirit who is a half sister to Fast Company who was runner up in a Dewhurst.Ticks all the right boxes on breeding and worth another chance after a no show on her debut at Nass.

2:10-Vault-6/1 BOG

Son of Dabehill Dancer who is out of a 1m2f winner and Looked a decent prospect when winning his maiden here over C+D and although Choir is the first string on jockey bookings im prepared to take a chance on this fella at a bigger price.

2:40-The Reaper E/W 11/1 BOG

Made a winning seasonal reappearance at Dundalk in April and has been runner up in his last 2 starts,Both times in handicaps. The horse that beat him the last day has since come out and won again and will surely make the frame again here.

3:50-Seville 5/1

Had this fella AP at 100/1 for the Epsom Derby. In my opinion didn't handle the track or the ground that day and Soumillion eased him down inside the final 2f.This track will suit and the end to end gallop plus the ground will be right up his street here.

4:30-Flowers Of Spring E/W 6/1 BOG

Has looked a different horse since being fitted with Cheekpieces and tackling handicaps,Winning twice last year and at Cork on his seasonal Debut,Finishing like a train from the clouds.Still unexposed at this trip and can go very close again here.

5:00-Creekside E/W 6/1 BOG

Was very impressive on debut in a big field maiden at Nass and has progressed nicely since.Defied top weight in style at Leopardstown the last day.Cheekpieces fitted here and has a huge chance.

5:30-Elusive Award E/W 10/1 BOG

Has found his level this year after a shocking 3 yr old season.in 5 runs in handicaps this year he has been placed 4 times and has excellent claims of being in the frame again here.

Salisbury

3:05-Free Tussy 9/2 BOG

Hasn't won for a age but showed signs at Goodwood that he is capable of endingb that drought soon when narrowly beaten in a 1m1f handicap earlier this month. If reproducing that form here he will go very close.

3:35-Wooden KIng-4/1 BOG

Consistent and tough front runner who can be forgiven his 7th at Sandown as he wouldn't have liked the soft ground that day.Prior to that he had strung together 4 top 2 finishes.Conditions to suit here and can go very close.

4:10-Sense Of Pride-11/4 BOG

Beautifully bred filly who won a 1m2f Maiden on her final start of her 3 yr old season having finished 4th on debut. Was a good 3rd on handicap debut at Sandown over that trip but bred to be much better the further she goes so this step up a huge positive.

Uttoxeter

2:45-RangeFinder 3/1 BOG

Was a useful stayer on the flat and looked like a next time out winner when 2nd on Hurdling Debut at Kelso over 2m.Was upped in trip at Aintree but was brought down early and if none the worse for that could easily win this here.

4:20-Gone To Lunch E/W 12/1 BOG

Was placed in 2 Scottish Nationals in his prime and stamina has always been his game but has gone off the boil recently but handicaaper has given him every chance to be competitve here.

4:55-Hail Caesar E/W 7/1 BOG

Was useful on the flat and won over hurdles for Ted Walsh at Ballinrobe over 2m.Went well on chase debut for new yard over a trip that was proberly too far for him.Visored first time here and back to 2m.

5:25-Bold Perk 6/5 BOG

Left Daniel O'Sullivan before winning a point last month and hacked up on debut when advised by RAINBOW-WISE in a chase last sunday.Runs off the same mark here and will take some stopping.

I backed Native Khan in the Derby, but tomorrow the ground will prove too much for him and I can see the race being run very differently... I need to wait and see if Carlton House is wearing bandages. (its something SMS seldom does unless he is worried)

I have just been lookin at the race, I have slightly changed my mind on Native Khan now, I Will definately have a punt on Treasure Beach but fancy something as an E/W shot too maybe , I was looking at maybe Notable Graduate if the race turns out to be abit of a slog will suit him very much so! CH im 50/50 over at the mo. SMS horses are not running great at all, not one winner at Ascot, but this could be the race they need to get them back on track, I do rate him as a top class trainer! one of the best. I wont be betting big, fiver here or there just to add a bit of interest in to my sunday afternoon lol

Never mind about the Irish Derby, the first race at Uttoxeter is where Inandover runs. I have a ¼ share in this animal and it will be interesting to see where we are with him. He wont win or even be placed but trainer reckons he’s come on a bundle for his first attempt and when the time is right he will win a race or two.
And it will be a lot of fun along the way.

Native Khan has competed in three G1's and managed one distant third....last colt i would consider in that field tomorrow and others will improve past him. He's already had three runs this season and if MT and TB were not run as pacemakers at Epsom they would have finished farther ahead of him.

I like Carlton House although don't buy into this "unlucky run" shi'ite militia re Epsom.

...Waffle from the big sprint at The Curragh tomorrow and rely on Colonel Mak who ran ok in the Wokingham from a bad draw.He is drawn nicely in box 22 and if the ground remains easy, big if at present given prevailing wind and sun, they think he's worth the trip over...they expect big run and he will be backed with FB on top.Take early price if you fancy it.

Not very well, he travelled nicely but didn't pick up. Genki won the race with Doncaster Rover in second.

Morning, all. One of the best days of 'Sunday racing' of the whole year today as decent action on theses shores is complimented by top, top racing on the other side of the water. In all I like 4:

According (3.45 Uttoxeter) - a former Mr Henderson inmate who has his first run for Nick Williams this afternoon. Horses rarely leave Seven Barrows and go on to achieve any sort of success but this gelding off just 105 looks very interesting given the high regard he was once held in.

Carlton House (3.50 Curragh) - missed out at Epsom but an interrupted preparation wouldn’t have helped his cause. With no such hinderance here expect to see Sir Michael’s charge gain compensation in the Irish equivalent.

Sense of Pride (4.10 Salisbury) - what a lovely name for a filly, by the way. She is also one of the best bred fillies in training (by the great Sadlers Wells out of an Irish Oaks winner) and so the decision to keep her in training as a 4YO indicates that connections think her current mark of 77 is very exploitable. She should also relish being stepped up half a mile in trip this afternoon.

Gatewood (5.15 Salisbury) - put up a very sound effort on his belated racecourse debut when 2nd of 15 at Windsor earlier this month. This looks the ideal opportunity for Gatewood to win his maiden before going on to better things.

Good luck one and all.

Very Interesting SBC, i was up at Reveleys on Satday morning and young James is back from France to ride Dom D'Orgeval in the 4:20 and was very bullish about his chances, he did not mention according and i never asked him BUT he rareley comes back from France unless he has a good chance, may just have a EW double

Also Brian Hughes thinks Rangefinder should be given another chances in the 2;45 at Uttox 7/2 i think so will have this to win and my nap

stay frosty

Good morning one and all.
I just wanted to come on here to thank some people who posted early on yesterdays daily thread. With some help from the likes of RV, Topclass, Famous and a couple of others I managed to get the placepot up at Newcastle. I don't want to aftertime or appear boastful (this is a genuine message of thanks as i don't normally have such luck) but I turned 7.20 into 370 with your help. Paid for a nice meal last night, my 3 boys will be treated today and once I've put a few £s in the Alzheimers jar then I can pay a bit of the credit card.
Some good racing today, will have a little on Seville as I also backed him in the Derby.
Good to see this forum is working out well and some old 606 chums are on here, SirBarney 4 in one day this must be a record for you old boy, don't tell me you're having a Yankee!!
Nass - good point re SMS, think Carlton House is too short today especially if he has bandages on. Cheers mate.
Hope you all had a good day yesterday and may you be lucky today.
