Nani has been utd's most improved player last season, why would Sir Alex want to get rid of him. With Young's arrival it just gives more attacking options for Europe's 2nd best team.

    United are way above Madrid.

Star names a team do not make

They are a lot more coherent than they used to be, Mourinho doesn't usually manage disjointed teams. I have seen a lot of their games and i still think that Barca and Madrid above everyone else in world football (although Barca are a level above Madrid).

It is stuff like this that draws the likes of posters, unenlightened offerings.

on stats, performances consistency Real Madrid have been superior to Manchester United last season and have like United had Barca in their way, but!.. both domestically as well as in Europe and they outperformed United in the CL against Barca infinitly more. Not a jab, just pleas emake sense with comments, it is hard ot ignore the ridiculous y'know:) <ok>

it may not be up to sir alex. nani and his agent may have said hes staying and that he wants to improve with utd,but young is another threat to nani, that could conceivably put him behind valencia, young and park (especially in important games like v arsenal, chelsea where park and valencia have been very effective).

i think nani is probably weighing up his options now,he was excellent last season, and yet now he has to fight it out with even more players to be in the starting 11 next season. its probably about 50/50 whether he stays or goes now.

Eh how did madrid in anyway shape or form have a better season than United last season?

They play in an easier league with 2 hard games a season ( Barcelona )
They had 2 chances to beat Barcelona in the CL and failed.

    They won a cup.
We won the league and reached the CL final.

Is this being based on the 4-0 hammering of Spurs like it was on 606?

Its sort of like saying Man City had a better season than us.

Funny this when rival fans claim Real Madrid are so superior to United. How is that the case? WHat proves your point? Because they spent stupid money on Ronaldo? Because they have bigger names than us? In the past 5 years United have won 4 League titles, reached 3 Champions League Finals winning one. What have Madrid done that is anywhere near that level?

You cant throw in WOn our league and made CL final unless you faced the same teams in the path, so look at goals away form home form games won challenges faced.

They got Barca in the semis and ye got Schalke, as it turned out, they performed better against an infinitly tougher opponent and ye flapped against Schalke away even though they were throwing the game at you ffs. Chance after chance gone begging until finally ye took one of the many many gifts they offered.

Compare that to Madrid against barca in the first leg, player unfairly sent off and Jose's plans then fell apart, so they were unlucky AND playing Barca and still if you look at those both games, played better than United did against Schalke. I seen both ties and thats my opinion, I am not trying to brain wash you:)

Bottom line really for me on quality and tactics is that Real Madrid held Barca twice this season and were doing so a third time before an unfair very harsh sending off. I am not even going to mention how ye did.

in terms of a quality team, not two stats CL final and won league, thats just myopia, they have just performed better, I think ye were pretty much on a par with Valencia when ye met them, that is your level I think.

Well Madrid did beat Barca in their equivalent of the fa cup, but to be fare this united side isn't the best Manchester team i have seen, but they haven't spent as much the money like Madrid has done, so ill go for chronological order and the fact they haven't the superstars that like Madrid and say Young is at the the 2nd best team Europe with Britain's greatest manager at the helm 2nd only to Bob Paisley regards a British manager wins in Europe

I hate clueless clowns that base a teams standing on one off games. The best way to judge that is over a league season. Firstly tell me how many Champions League semi finals have you seen that has ended more than 2-0 to the away team. Because it is very rare. You can only beat what's put in front of you. They hammer the European Champions 7-3. Would you be saying all of this if we destroyed Inter instead of Schalke? Secondly how many times did Real Madrid play Barcelona last season? 5 times? You are bound to win a game from playing a team 5 times in one season. They are arch rivals they know each other better than anybody else you clown. Of course they have more chance of beating them than somebody who has played them twice in 3 years.

Now again compare United's records over the past 5 years to Madrid's record over the past 5 years. They are nowhere near us. Also I bet you believe we are the same level as Valencia because we only beat them 1-0 while Madrid beat them 6-3? Am I right? In that case after not being able to beat Blackpool this season you are a level below them? Is that ok?

Just curious though who's level in La Liga are Liverpool at?

I think they are a better team because they play higher quality football (I don't mean this by attractiveness but by more skilled and effective) than you. I am not talking about the past 5 years I am talking about my opinion based on the season just passed.

How well do you think you would have done in their place? Competing with Barcelona for the title, domestic cup and semi finals of the champions league is pretty difficult.

Man Utd have been to 3 of the last 4 CL finals, were have Madrid been? This season was the first time they had been past the round of 16 for almost a decade, they beat 10 man Spurs and there all of a sudden better than us get real!

For anyone needing clarification that Man Utd are a better side than Madrid check the club world rankings. Madrid are all bark no bite , it's about doing the business on the pitch, not with the cheque book off the pitch

So just like Arsenal then? Though without the effectiveness. The simple facts are United are in the toughest league in the world where if you look at La Liga, seeing them finish over 20 points ahead of 3rd says it all really. Nothing to me suggests Real Madrid are better than United just because of their record with Barcelona. Like I said they played them 5 times last season. They are bound to beat them once aren't they?

Well in that case why not call yourself the best team in Europe if you think you could have beaten Barcelona in the league, as well as the domestic and eurpoean cups?
