Yep I said on here(one of the transfer threads anyways) we had made contact. He told a mutual friend that Saints had contacted Burnley but didn't want to say anything else until things were sorted.

 

It's a damn good dream I'd say. Wasn't 20m quoted for Bony? I'm sure they'd gouge it a bit for us if we were to go for him. Without CL we'd have to wave a lot of money at him - probably more than we should.

 

Well that's what we need the extra £5m from the SCroat for..........!

What might have, could, should have happened is/was very reasonable speculation. But it's all hearsay, of course.
Actually not bothered about the "might have beens". The thing I notice is that those players not receiving the offer of a big payday seem happy to stay, those that are can't leave quickly enough.
Great news today. A couple more signings and we will be no worse off than we were at the end of the season. Let's look forward with our red'n'white sandals on!
