Sanchez is quality. Say what you like about barca, but they don't seem to make teams make silly bids for their players. Often look like very cheap aquisitions for other teams despite being top class. Absolute steal for arsenal.

Yea most mls players make almost nothing. Really only the players who have played in Europe are on big salaries. Back when I was in college there were 2 guys who were acquaintances of mine (they played football for another fraternity in the same fraternity league we played in). Anyway they both turned down offers from DC United because it was so little money that they would be looking at taking a salary cut even from what they were making while going to school.
He certainly would be a good addition, and if Lewis29 is right and he is only on $60,000 PA, then he would certainly not be an expensive addition, as he would surely get a big rise coming here, but still be very affordable.

Not calling it an excuse, Gradel scored 20 goals from the wing for us not that long ago. But if you actually look at his assists you'll find that the seasons he didn't top our goalscoring charts, he topped our assist charts (barring his first season) and last season he did both. My point is he is much better than what he looks on paper (you can't always judge players by their stats anyway) but still not worth anywhere near 11m
