Where does your info come from? The BBC aren't exactly known for making things up. Plus it makes sense considering how much money she'd make.

 

Things get made up all the time...people repeat things until it becomes the truth. May be true, but not imminent I would think.

 

BBC aren't one of those who repeat such things. Or if they do, they specify that it's speculation.

 

Nothing going round at, I am sure we would have heard something from at least DTLW,Monk,Guan etc etc. Yes if a very good offer does come in any owner would be tempted. But she is not actively seeking to sell the club. The BBC are wrong sometimes you know?

The point is they've heard it from a source they consider reliable, or they wouldn't have printed it. Again, I'm not saying it's a sure bet because we've heard it in the media, but it's enough to give the possibility a decent amount of consideration.

 

I think, if she is willing to sell, it shows Cortese is a bullshit artist. He said, very clearly, that if she ever wanted to sell he could bring in someone to replace her. The thing that seems to have pissed him off is that she is here for the long term, and wants things done her way.

Why do players care if a club will be sold? Why would a manager? They only care if the club is sold to the wrong person. To assume we'll be sold to asset strippers is not just one bonkers assumption, but two, right on top of each other.

They didn't publish anything Lallana (is supposed to have) said.

 

My point was that only a negative take over, such as asset stripping, makes any difference to a player or a manager. In fact, if you feel your owner lacks ambition, which seems the buzz word, you would hope she would sell. The story is too inconsistent to be plausible.

 

If you're a chairman who has that much control over the club, you probably fear the possibility of a prospective new owner wanting to do your job himself, like many of them do.

He'd have been insistent on things staying as they were - i.e. him in control, Kat in background.

 

You mean you want it to be true? Come on Joe a lot of bull **** was being chucked about at the time Cortese left.

 

And there's an equal measure of bullshit now. At this point, it's largely a question of whose bullshit one is more inclined to believe.
