So he's better than Ruiz but not as good as Mitroglu... Guess they want to come up at the first attempt. What are the parachute payments these days? Can we expect Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich to be ultra-competitive next season?
It's not just the fee that seems daft to me, it's the fact he's going to Fulham. Surely he was worth a PL move?
West Ham have bid £12m for that Konoplyanka who Liverpool and Spurs were fighting over not long ago.
Middlesbrough have had a bid of £3.1m knocked back by Genk for striker Jelle Vossen. He's easily good enough for the Premier League, if we bid £4m we'd get him, he's the type of striker we'd need.
"Unhappy @MCFC midfielder Yaya Toure could be set for a move to @LFC or @chelseafc - Gossip:" BBC reporting this, would be very interesting should this happen. I suppose his new club will be making not of his birthday.
Fulham are mega desperate to get back to the PL at the first attempt. Desperation = paying over the odds. In saying that, Ross McCormack is/was the best striker in the championship.
But as many Leeds fans have stated on the SkySports site, he's had one good season as he did at Cardiff, and won't replicate that form every season. Apparently McCormack was involved in 61% of Leeds' goals last season which is impressive.
Ex.Sunderland GK Keiron Westwood now a free agent has signed for Sheffield Wednesday. David Nugent has still to sign a new contract with Lesta City. No news yet on Fraizer Campbell either. Arsenal may offer Carl Jenkinson to Newcastle as part of the Mathieu Debuchy transfer. Cardiff will get a cut of the £11m transfer fee for Ross McCormack due to a clause in the Leeds contract. Sheffield Wednesday also sign up Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson on a 2 year deal. Ex. Tiger Richard Garcia signs for his hometown club Perth Glory. Cardiff and Chile player Gary Medel could well be set for a summer move to Inter Milan. Patrice Evra WHO DID SIGN a new one year extension @ Man Utd back in May could still move onto Juventus. Ashley Cole has taken a 75% pay cut to stay with a top club. Roma and CL football should fit both parties well.
Yes it is always a risk regardless. But likie i said Fulham are desperate. It will be an interesting watch mind.
The fee for McCormack is mad. Good Championship player, but nothing more. His record over the last 6 seasons is... 24 in 38 4 in 34 2 in 22 18 in 44 5 in in 32 28 in 43 Going by them stats he can't put two good seasons together.
