    4.5m is the sort of fee where you begin to wonder if he is worth chancing on the basis of his brother being here and getting back to where he was. All in all though, there must be better options for us.

    I pretty much agree. £4.5million leaves you thinking he'd be worth a shot. Then you remember that with MA that spend will mean we don't get anyone else in that position and suddenly the risk seems too great again.

    The money will not be spent twice, and I'd rather we were in a position to sign someone of real quality should the opportunity come up. I mean, the guy just fluffed the longest job interview in history, and you'd still have him here?

    He did fluff it but look what he had playing around him. In a better team which we may be assembling now then £4.5m sounds worth a gamble
