Chile forward Alexis Sánchez's representative has told Liverpool that the player will not be joining as his family want to move to London. **** him and **** his family. Expect Suarez gone before the weekend in a straight cash deal. Liverpool need to hijack Reals move for James RodrÃguez imo. Time to do to others whats been happening us for too long. All the Suarez money on a bid for the Colombian. We know a bid wont be made though and we'll get the new Aspas or the French Borini etc.
There was something about this Sanchez deal that never felt quite right. Not sure if he was the right one
Perhaps... but as they say here in the Southern US; If you can't keep it in your pants, keep it in the family.
Most on here? Yes,I think thats true I just had a feeling about it. No doubting Sanchez's quality btw
Well, I was being sarcastic. Most on did want him but when was the last time we signed a top star that most of us wanted? Torres...?
Did most of us want Torres? I think it was a pretty even split if I recall- a lot of people said he wouldn't be able to adapt to the Premier League's physicality. FYI: Interesting Torres stat: He's now played more games for Chelsea than he ever did for us but has scored less than a third of the goals for Chelsea that he did for us.
Meh, London does seem to have a big wow factor for foreign players. Not sure why to be honest... the best parts of London are probably as good as the best parts of most big Cities. Still, we move on and go for other targets. Means we get £70m+ for Suarez to reinvest.
Nobody expected him to be the goal machine he turned out to be for us but there was no questioning his quality. He was already a world star. I suppose Luis Suarez was the same though.
Back in the day good players wanted to go where they'd more or less be guaranteed success and London>Liverpool rarely happened just because of location. Arsenal's FA Cup win last season was obviously the deciding factor.
Sanchez, bloody good player, but we have no right to expect him to play for us.. He's been offered a few deals, he took the best one for him and his family.. good luck to him (well, not really against us ) Just need to invest the money wisely, on quality players that want to play for us, regardless of the location!
Strangely, I think United will be more hampered by Sanchez joining Arsenal than we are. Chelsea and City are givens for finishing in the top 4. We've got a very good shot at 3rd- which would leave Arsenal, United (maybe Everton and Spurs) fighting for 4th. Sanchez could be what Arsenal need to move them up a peg and have them fighting for 3rd with us- instead of squabbling with United for 4th.
