Set to join us very soon. He has turned down a move to Brighton! to join us. The guy must be mad but I'm over the moon to see us attracting this type of player. Steve Cotterill has been tracking him for months and he had sent Brian Tinnion out to watch him last season. Our squad is shaping up very nicely! please log in to view this image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Ayling Quite a few ex arsenal youngsters in our squad now. JET, Wynter, Freeman & Ayling
Looks like another good signing - important to get all these new players to gel quickly (so good to have most of them on board early in pre-season)
Looks like we have made some good signings so far. Have to say I am impressed with the way SC has got them in early. However EL Abd struck me as a good signing on paper. Want to see how they perform before making a judgement either way.
Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen · 4 mins Bristol City remain favourites to sign Luke Ayling, but transfer is far from a done deal at this stage. There will be no ins or outs today.
So Shiny, are you leading us all astray with your bold statements that this is a done deal? Nothing happened today! When?
It's paper work that still needs sorting. Both clubs and player have agreed terms. It will be announced tomorrow.
He only goes by andy stockhausens tweets on twitter, considering he said on sunday that the deal was completely done and dusted and he'd be announced on Monday not everything he says is true
Sleep well Shiny as I will. We've just shared a bottle of champagne to celebrate selling our house today. The bubbles make you feel good but soon I will crash out on the settee. COYREDS!!!!!!!!!
Well done Shiny - no smoke without fire eh ! An excellent appointment. He will be in the Div 1 team come the end of the season, and playing from thence in the Championship I have to say, excellent work by Cotterill again, and praise is due to Steve L for stumping up all the cash in a POSITIVE cause not a damage limitation exercise. Hopefully he will recoup it with a Championship and upwards.. Lansdown obviously believes in Cotterill to do the business, as do I
Well done Shiny, you came up trumps today. Better late than never! We can all blame you if he's no good?
Welcome Luke Ayling! 3 year deal. The club are doing the right things in pre season regarding transfers so we SHOULD be looking at promotion next year. Another good thing is the players we've been getting in are championship standard so if we do get promoted we can have a team that can compete at the next level. Exciting times ahead!
The club have also signed 2 youngsters from Valencia and Hereford - http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/20140708-academyarrivals-1725558.aspx
