What I don't understand about the Sanchez stuff is that if he isn't keen in coming here, then surely any possible deal for him coming here ended the moment we found that out. Why is the apparent percentage chance changing each day, surely it was 0% chance from day 1.
My guess would be that it was more like: I don't want to leave Barca which turned in to: I don't want to join LFC If barca are making it clear that they want to use him for funds then he might be slowly accepting this. Just my take on it, no one really knows
With the 6 players were linked to and signed, and putting them into the first team with other regulars, the team would look like in diamond formation -------------------GK Def 1---Lorven--------Def 2------ Def 3 ------------------Mid ---------Can ------------Mid -----------------Lallana ------------Lambert ----- Striker----
My guess is Barca want to use sanchez to drive down the price, as they reckon they could get us to, in effect, "pay" more for him than Arsenal, but liverpool would prefer a straight cash deal. Its clear to see that BR's two main targets were Lallana and Markovic. Markovic was plan B in case we didn't get lallana but with suarez on his way we can now get both
-------------------GK Def 1---Lorven--------Rojo------ Moreno ------------------Mid ---------Can ------------Shaqiri -----------------Lallana ------------Lambert ----- Sanchez----
If the reason was purely (or mostly) the money offered to him at that time, then there may have been a way to change his mind.
Nathaniel Clyne. - Jackson Martinez tweeted 'Gracias Liverpool' about an hour ago. edit: suggestions he didnt really tweet it.
Didn't know we'd been linked to Clyne. Wasn't who I meant anyway, the one I'm thinking of is 29-31yrs old and Spanish I think?
Yeah... couple weeks back... played in Spain- Benfica... on a team like that... think he was actually South American... last name started with a P.
Is this the one: http://www.anfield-online.co.uk/tra...-liverpool-linked-uruguayan-defender-pereira/ Maxi Pereira?
He looks old for 30! Has a lot of caps for Uruguay... 90+... scores approx. a goal a season. 30 and never played for any truly big European clubs... Don't know what he's like though.
He's better than Johnson so who cares. Also see tom ince has found his true level after turning down Milan.
"Luis Suarez to Barcelona will, as expected, be a £75m cash deal. None of #LFC spending so far dependent on his sale" Ben Smith trying again lol, think he's covered every possible scenario
