1. I vaguely recall talk of Blackpool having a massive 30% sell on clause when Liverpool were interested in January. 2. Any valuation fee would surely be reduced by his playing value for Blackpool, so if he cost Palace 1.5m for however long, you could argue that Blackpool had a fair chunk of moneys worth out of him for the three years he played for them at a high level. He played 8 times for Palace. He played 100 times for Blackpool scoring 31 goals. **** me, they'll end up paying us. 3. Schmeichel better than McGregor? Bit silly that. Not sure. He was way overpriced for his ability even at the 1.5m we bid. Must be his young age. We were very lucky to get McGregor instead as he is the better keeper.
I did say that at the time too. Wasn't sure why we bid for him other than we had no keeper whatsoever and he was a cheap option.
You bid 4m and he's improved even more since then. He's 28, so no spring chicken. You bid that amount because he's a serious keeper.

I'm happy with Ince signing, he's a terrific player with a lot of potential. I am concerned with the amount of left-footed midfielders we have compared to the amount of right-footed ones, our only right-footed winger is Elmo.
