Makes you wonder why the fans voted him Player Of The Season. <doh>

I'd love us to sign Medel too, I don't see any correlation between relegation and the ability of an individual player.

With you all day on this.

I'd take Caulker, Medel, Mutch & Marshall in a flash from Cardiff.

Fer & Snoddy I'd have taken from Norwich (for about £3million tho...)

I'd take Ruiz, Stekelenburg & Dejegah from Fulham.

In fact, I have no idea why we aren't after Dejagah he'd be ideal for us.

    Got the 800k wrong, it's 850k.

I've said earlier in the thread it was book value.

A player is an asset, assets get accounted for. Assets need insuring. Insurance is decided by fee minus time of contract served. Norwich paid a rumoured 2.5m for Snodgrass on a three year contract, but to stop you avoiding the issue we'll say 3m. That means his value was 1m on the Norwich books. I'm not saying you should have only paid a million, just an extra 7m is a hell of a mark up that's all, nothing personal either, Looks like everyone is going to over spend which I've also stated on this thread.

Dejegah is a funny one, Fulham fans think he was amazing in some games(particularly off the bench), but was utterly useless in others.

He's looked impressive in all the games I've seen, though obviously I'm not a Fulham fan.

Aye, he likes to run, and we need that, he has pace too.

Right enough when he was at Wolfsburg he often did **** all for 2 months at a time though, but there's a player in there for definite.

i think you will find the fans vetoed the vote as a protest, most voted for a third choice keeper who never got a game.
still if you are convinced its good value so be it

I don't think anyone believes he's worth anywhere near that kind of money .... still, it's fun watching the Hull supporters trying to spin this one.

We said Bruce's team would collapse in the 2nd half of the season, they laughed.
We said he'd panic and start needlessly messing with players positions, tactics, etc, they laughed.
We said he'd start lashing out huge sums for average players on long contracts, they laughed.
We said Hull supporters would start wondering what would happen if they were relegated with all that debt ......
....... to be fair, they're not laughing about that <laugh>

I didn't say it was good value did I, all the way through this thread I've said the fee was too high. <doh>

Fact is, we're a better team with him in it, than we were without him in it, whatever he cost and that's really all fans care about.

I think it's fair to say Levy has done us over on the Livermore deal.

And Norwich have done similar for Snodgrass.

I'm happy they're here, but not for much we've paid.

Tom Ince can go **** himself. I seriously doubt Inter ever wanted him. Most likely made up that rumour by himself. He's not even that good.

That's football now though. You just have to see the insane amount Fulham will give Leeds for McCormack.

The Cardiff lads would be good. Bit of a risk for the likes of Stekelenburg.

At the moment yeah mate, but as a fan of a yo yo club who's finally achieved top flight stability for a sustained spell (this will be season 7 i think) I've ridden the crest of the wave through Keane and then Bruce's early spending and loved it, barely spared a thought of how the club has been run, but then bang, suddenly the financial implications were on us, combined with a few bad seasons of buying the wrong players and the club was just ****ed, rotten squad, in debt and massive wage bill with players we couldn't ****. We've had a miserable and frustrating few season of going backward while the owner had to cut costs. It's been miserable fella. All because of few years of reckless spending. But we're lucky, we've got an owner determined to make the club a sustainable business model, he could of thrown us to the dogs and made us the next Pompy.

I must come across a right killjoy as you Hull fans are flying high, I know, been there, it's great, but in hindsight I'm gutted at what it's done to us. Hope your Chairman leaves your club in a better condition than our last chairman did.

really hope you aren't pinning your hopes on Snodgrasses corners.

the % that hit the first man must be around 70% and 20% clear everyone you might get 10% go into the right area.

Your son has only gone and signed for Hull.

Only a two year deal. Odd.
