In an interview with RTV Oost, Alfred Schreuder explained why Tadic is not with the team for it's pre-season training camp: "Tadic is not with us because he is very likely going to Southampton. It's only a matter of days now. I have instructions from the club not to bring him with to avoid risking an injury in training." Hang on, mate This sounds like news. What the hell are you doing posted something like this on a thread dedicated to speculation and suicide notes? Nice one. Sounds promising.
Actually, thinking about it, how would we genuinely feel if a potential incoming signing were to come up with that stuff, having seen what we have with Dejan and Twatbeard? Would it upset us? Make us worry about the player? Or would we secretly applaud his determination? I have a feeling there'd be a lot of silent hypocrisy that went on!
On that note, I read a Burnley forum where they responded to a piece that suggested we wanted Ings. Their responses were similar to when Liverpool came in for Lambert. Pretty accepting that he'd want the move badly and that they should just secure a good deal and let him go.
"When I went to St Mary's to watch them last year and heard them sing the 'this is how it feels to be pompey Pochettino' song, it sent shivers down my spine..."
Tadic just posted a picture of his private parts on Instgram with the message "my cock, it is already in a woman in Southampton" YESSS!!!!!
I would find it equally revolting to be honest. I think the only time it seems even remotely credible is where you have a player like Rickie ending his career at the club he supported as a youngster. Actually Bridge said something a couple of years ago that he would love to end his career at Southampton but it just came across a bit patronising. Rickie, by comparison was much more careful with his words. 'A dream come true' summed it up nicely.
He did have his best years with us. I wonder if he has regrets? Not when he looks at his bank balance, obviously, but still...
