At the end of the day Rodgers lives and dies by these signings. It will be entirely his team come next season and any mistakes will lay squarely at his door. Equally if he gets it right we might just be hailing him as a genius It'll be a tough year but I get the sense it won't be a dull one.

Nope. One player is leaving while he's world class, one. And it's not the same problem because despite any difficulties we've had in attracting players over those years we still managed to win all those trophies.
