Flat racing today from Ayr, Ripon(E), Windsor(E) and Roscommon(IRE)(E), Summer jumping from Newton Abbot Newton Abbot National Hunt 7 Races 2:15-5:15p.m. Ayr 7 Races 2:30-5:30p.m. Windsor(E) 7 Races 5:50-8:50p.m. Roscommon(IRE)(E) 7 Races 6:00-9:00p.m. Ripon(E) 6 Races 6:40-9:10p.m. Good Luck
Monday night at Windsor means one thing, Hannon and Hughes. MUMFORD to win the 6.20 and anything near the 3/1 tissue price surely would be generous. The step up in trip looks a positive and has the plum draw in stall 1.
Ollys total domination is a serious animal BUT Spencer is on board although the way Bentley has been riding he'd only have done worse. So Total Domination probably won't win tomorrow. Burning Blaze should still win in the 7 20 even with Spencer onboard tho, best horse in the race by a country mile and even Spencer shouldn't screw it up ( Well i have said the same about AP before when he's been on the best horse and he's still ruined their chances like he always does ) Crowley/Moore onboard both would guarantee two wins so small stakes, £30 burning blaze @ 7s, £10 on total domination @ 14s, £5 e/w double
Cheers Chelsea, 2 things that are very off putting are the high draws for your two and as you said Spencer is on board aswell.
I know its a Windsor 2yo race but its not a race that the yard usually win. I like Clive Cox's myself.
Windsor 7.50 Lawyer 9-2 This horse has been beaten twice this season but both pieces of form look good and the dropping in grade I feel will get this horse home in front tomorrow.
I'm most interested, from a long term perspective, in Mike Murphy's Rio Ronaldo in that race. Yard have only ever had one winning juvenile on debut (in a crap AW race in 2011) so I won't be backing him but he's nicely bred being a half brother to Grade 3 winning Louvain, Listed winner Laajooj, Group 3 placed Desert Poppy and David O'Meara's G Force who is an exciting 3 year old. He's already gelded and I think he'll be definitely one for further down the line but I suspect he could be quite a nice horse in time.
Mark Cavendish oot o' the toor by gum.....very sad for such a sporting young man....wonder if the BBC jouno's will get blamed for this as well. Very sad...Cock.
Morning, all. There are some right rogues in this sport. As they say round my way, ‘Not everyone is like Mr Henderson, you know’ and for that reason members may want to have a look at the ‘lucky last’ at God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot (5.15). SADLER’S STAR is a six time winner who was once rated as highly as 128 over hurdles when trained by old boy Alan King. Although he has long since left Barbury Sadler’s Star is still a resident in the county and no back number. His form on good or good to firm ground last July – September read -5221. That win, incidentally, came over today’s course and distance so he obviously relishes running on today’s ground and at God’s own racecourse. This term though he’s been Dire with a capital ‘D’ and in his two runs to date have seen him be beaten 103 and then 74 lengths. However, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more, such runs have caused Sadler’s Star’s perch to plummet to as low as 98 a mark he still looks capable of devouring. The old boy’s form when rated in the 90’s, since August ’11, reads -41221 and that last time saw him win with some ease by 13 lengths! He’s currently available at 20/1 and I’d be surprised in each-way support was not rewarded. Maybe one lucky omen is that today Sadler’s Star’s age and weight reads 11-11-11 (an 11YO carrying 11 stone 11 pounds)! Will another ‘1’ be added to his record come 5.30 this eve?!? You pays your money and you takes you chance. Good luck.
One more thing to add about SADLER’S STAR is that he’s very suited to, and obviously relishes, running in ‘conditional’ events. A category that today’s race at God’s own racecourse falls into. Since Sept ’10 his record in such affairs reads -212.
ROTO, young fellah, I'm certainly not wiser than you but much much older so here goes. When investing in the stock market a golden rule is never fall in love with your broker and/or the equities people at your bank. The same applies in horseracing, never but never fall in love with a trainer, a horse, a jockey, an owner, a tipster, or anyone or anything. Use your own, in your case excellent judgement. I would be very surprised if trainer Mick Murphy's runners have shown you a personal profit over the last couple of years. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Now watch Rio Ronaldo win! .
Or he could finish 11th Barney! G'day chaps, I'm back in the civilised world of 3G, broadband and all that's good about the internet. Until Thursday anyway! Managed to find Justice Day and Pomology on Saturday and a low rent double turned in a nice profit, despite the other five losers! Talking of the number 11 - I quite like the eleven year old Sheriff Hutton in the 3-45 at Newton Abbot. Forecast to be 10-1, he is as low as 4-1 now - 9-2 BP but disappearing fast. A winner over hurdles and fences, he is a NA regular who will relish the conditions EDIT: Actually Sadlers can't finish 11th as there are only 10 runners
Looks an interesting one all right Sir Barney. Today I'm going to take the baton from you and back a horse from the yard of the forum's favourite trainer. I think Grey Blue has a very good chance in the 4-15 at Newton Abbot
Just a couple for me today ayr GEANIE MAC win around 4s ayr galilee chapel way to big at 16s ew one for intrest poolstock 14s-16s ew
I'm with you on this one, Mumford is stepping back up to 6F and with Richard Hughes on board for the first time and the plum draw then I have taken the 3/1 (now 11/4 in most places) Cheers Trevez
MyCoy's fastest century of winners came in 2002 when he hit 3 figures on 4th September. His wins on Luci Di Mezzanoti and Ebony Empress at Newton Abbot takes him to 73 and its only July 7th He's not done for the day either ..........................
I have had to go against Barney on this last at Newton Abbot as I like the look of Rusty Nail. A little out of the handicap but the very able assistance of Nico De Bonville.
