Shameless spin off thread from the how many players we will sign. How much money do you think we will spend this window with our big pot of cash burning a hole in Reed's pocket? I am going to guess at £25 mil Edit - added a poll, if anyone moans that it should be "£10 million and a pound to £20 million" then I will unleash Vic on them
I think the genius idea of announcing that all funds from sales will be reinvested will really bite us in the arse. It will add a big premium to all of our targets and the fact that we've been seen to "cash in" on our existing talent will probably put some of those targets off of joining us anyway. My prediction is that we sign fewer players than we need (at least three plus however many end up leaving so call it seven) and that they cost us much more than we could have got them for had we not announced our intentions to the world to appease our fans. I think we'll bring in four and spend the best part of £50m on them.
I expect we will be in the top 5. Liverpool will have to be above us as they are funding our shopping.
Somewhere between 10mill and 30mill in my opinion. I'm not the most optimistic about a massive splash based on the things I keep reading about youth being ready to step up etc.
