He can play a lot of attacking positions which is a trait BR looks for
Markovic is one of the best youngest in world footballer so I'm happy if we sign him. The price is quite high but he has some good experience - won a title with Benfica, EL final etc. He's used to the big stage. And his ceiling for potential is incredibly high - could be become world class.
Watched him play a few times, just an average to good youngster imo. He isn't the world beater and future great that some describe him as. We still need a big signing and someone to come into the team now as Suarez's replacement.
TBF, if you'd said he was decent (never mind a world beater) I'd have expected Zidane, Pele, Maradona and Messi rolled into one
Right this is transfer thread Arsenal reputed to bid 32 million for Sanchez. That's 14 mil more than he was touted in May and at least 7 mil more that he is worth max
I'd be very happy if we paid £32m for Sanchez TBH. I kept saying £25m because that's the figure I'd seen but IMO he is worth much more, I reckon about £35m is the cut off point though.
Any good? http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/06/lazar-markovic-19-8million-transfer-to-liverpool-imminent-4789091/
Liverpool lead rivals in Marcos Rojo transfer race Liverpool currently lead the race to sign Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon, ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona. That's according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, who claim the Reds could swoop to seal a €20 million this summer. The Argentinian is enjoying a strong World Cup so far and has caught the eye from full-back, while scoring what proved to be the winner in his country's group stage game against Nigeria. Liverpool's full-back problems Brendan Rodgers is looking to solve the problems Liverpool have at full-back this summer, and has been linked with a move for Sevilla's Alberto Moreno. However the Reds appear to have been priced out of that move and are now considering alternatives, with Rojo reportedly at the top of their list. - Alberto Moreno deal off, says Sevilla official - All you need to know about Luke Shaw Manchester United & Barcelona lurking However Liverpool are unlikely to have it all their own way; O Jogo say that Manchester United are still keen despite already having lured Luke Shaw to Old Trafford, while Arsenal are also said to be in the running. The fact that he is by nature a centre-back may convince Manchester United to make a move, while Liverpool have problems in that area too. Arsenal interest The Gunners currently have Keiran Gibbs as their number one left-back and it is actually over on the other side of the pitch that they need to fill with Bacary Sagna joining Manchester City. While the Premier League clubs fight for his signature, Barcelona are still in the hunt and could beat them all to the punch. The Catalan club remain desperately short at the back, but are reportedly prioritising a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos first and foremost. Juventus remain in the mix for Rojo, too. http://www.givemesport.com/481424-liverpool-lead-rivals-in-marcos-rojo-transfer-race
