I'm adopting a new policy from Germany onwards. If Hamilton wins, i'm going to pretend he doesn't exist and focus my attention elsewhere, saves my blood pressure, saves you all having to read pissed off posts etc.

I am happy that Hamilton brought up the crappiness of those trophies. They looked like they were toys from a McDonalds happy meal!

    Good man <ok>

Thought he did pretty well to be honest. Got mugged of a probable 3rd place by poor strategy.

yeah, good luck with that, he's probably going to win the majority of the remaining races. It's easier to just to not bother watching at all; which is certainly my new policy now this season seems to have reached its inevitable "climax". I'd like to know how many others just turned off during this one.

Found out somewhat by not having the dominant car and having to work through the pack.

The largest gap between Hamilton and Rosberg was 5.9 seconds, 1 lap before Rosberg reported his gearbox problem, so why are people saying he was quickly catching him up, when he wasn't.

I imagine most real F1 fans kept on watching to cheer on their drivers who were having battles for other positions <ok>

Plastic fans probably switched off because they threw their toys out of the pram when a driver they didn't like took the lead <ok>

No driver is bigger than F1, but reading the likes of you rant and moan, you'd think that was the case, except bizarrely it's all about a driver you don't care for!? How strange.

I have no doubt that Rosberg would have won had the gearbox not gone on holiday.

Hard to tell. Tyres were coming into it as Hamilton would have been on fresher tyres for the next stint as he had his first set on for longer. Last 10 laps or so would have been quite good between them as Rosberg would have had to defend, we never got the chance to see if he would repay Bahrain back to Hamilton.

I have the feeling that, sooner or later, both are going off a la Vettel/Webber turkey '10.

oh no i'm not a "real F1 fan". Now i feel so ashamed that i chose to do something else with my time, in this case watch the Wimbledon final, which i get a feeling was just ever so slightly more interesting than watching Hamilton coast to another easy victory, in a car with such an advantage that any mistakes he or Rosberg make in qualifying just become irrelevant within the first couple of laps.

A rookie that's been in F1 for three years and whose best finishes have come after Vettel has been screwed by poor strategies by RBR, plus the numerous breakdowns and mechanical failures he's had. Will you get over WW2 ffs Ernie, you remind me of my gran.

Because he was. Even when Rosberg went to new tyres he wasn't catching Hamilton on old tyres at any alarming rate. And when Hamilton switched to the slower tyre he was faster than Rosberg. Yes Rosberg had a problem but Hamilton was quickly catching him and had not for the very slow pitstop he would have been right on Rosberg tail after the first round of stops. In any case Rosberg still had to use the harder compound and lewis could have gone for the softer compound again for the final laps and he would have been much quicker than Rosberg. He was quicker than Rosberg most of the weekend it was just that he mucked up the qualifying by not completing his lap.

And the couple times Hamilton stuck his car close behind Rosberg he made mistakes and ran off the track a couple times....the last race when Hamilton had the DNF is an example. He ran off a couple times but by then Hamilton's car was dying. But yes, I would like to see Hamilton in a close chase with Rosberg and both cars working properly just to see Rosberg's response. I would bet the in a situation like that Hamilton is stronger than Rosberg. Remember I said earlier in the season that Rosberg tends to take too long to overtake? I am sure Hamilton does not have that problem. He quickly disperse of those in front when ever he is down in the pack.
