Unless the extra wages restricts us being able to invest on a first teamer in another weaker position.

meh... we should all love pepe.. he's a great guy stabbed in the back. about 2 weeks prior to mingolet arriving people said future captain... then mingolet was really a sighter season (at best) so we'd better hope the lads ready to step it up about 50% next season.

My heart bleeds for him, no where else to stab him if he's showing you his back trying to head out the door....and into the Barca one, thought he held all the cards well.....

His ego should be smaller, as nobody seems to want him but I doubt it. Like Suarez if he's still here for the season he can just be a professional and get on with it. Shouldn't be hard to do for 100k a week......

He's on 100k now right? With Suarez going then the wage goes down, obviously more people will come but not at the wage of Suarez, pepe will be fine wage wise.

Cant agree with this, He's probably one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the world and hasn't performed to that standard in several years. For me he has lost his desire to be the best he once could have been, maybe we paid him to much, maybe he got frustrated about always being overlooked by spain. BR obviously got fed up with his constant whining and his flirting with other clubs and as a new manager of a big club you have to stamp your mark and make sure the players know who's boss. If Reina had done what Suarez has done and performed to the best of his ability, then the offers would have come in and we would have thanked him and let him go back to spain. Instead he's sulked and the funniest thing of all is that now Casillas is as weak as he has ever been Reina is nowhere close to taking his place and will probably be overlooked again.

He was a great servant for liverpool and he will always be a legend (no Dudek though!) but you cant justify paying him such a huge amount for several more years when he simply isn't performing, its time he stepped up, or just shut up.

I think the Hodgson era ****ed him

Now he has no form, no love, no connection to Liverpool

    Move on
