And I agree, Brazil have not dominated and they have achieved that rare thing...made me support Germany.

If that's the case, then they have nobody to blame but themselves. Navas was entirely free to do the same as Krul.

What's the world coming to when people moan about a bit of trash talking in a penalty shoot out?

    Remember the last time?

The worst final of the World cup ever, in fact probably the worst final of any tournament ever.

How is it that a country with a population of 4.5 million, with a fraction of the wealth of England can achieve such a fantastic performance at the World cup?

We should be seriously asking ourselves what is exactly wrong with our whole set up, from the very point of beginning, the way football is coached to the smallest tot who can kick a ball to the very top, why is it that our top echelon has become in a very few years, an absolute paragon of sleaze?

Perhaps the way Costa Rica conducts itself as a nation would be a good start. Costa Rica is known for its progressive environmental policies, being the only country to meet all five criteria established to measure environmental sustainability, they have no standing army, they want to be carbon neutral by 2020 and were voted country No1 on the Happy planet list in 2009.

Without finding out I bet we are a long way down that list and if Camerwrong gets his way on Fracking (which he has substantial personal investments in btw) we will sink even lower.

We could learn a hell of a lot from the Costa Ricans, in fact I want to go there right now!

People have got overexcited about Costa Rica. Small teams do well sometimes at big tournaments.

Look at Greece in 2004. Now they play like football cancer.

True. And if Greece are football's contribution to cancer [thank you for that contribution, Pie!] then what are England..? The inoperable brain tumour [with apologies to anyone suffering from any similar condition]..?

There is a plausible reason for why England, Scotland, Wales & NI aren't World beaters at International football. We do a lot of other sports to a very high level. I'm not saying the reason is correct, but it would certainly cut down on that staggering 3.5M [Uruguay] to 51M [England] population comparison.

I'd suggest Shingles, they irritate the hell out of you and keep on repeating the dose at irregular intervals.

England are football syphilis. Can be passed down congenitally. Takes many different forms, but, ultimately, the same disease.

The England sperm would probably be denied by Ovum vitelline membrane technology

Or he'd have had his head turned by his agent sperm before prick-off, who had planted the seed of doubt into his thinking, by rumours of a big transfer and a wad of cash to Penis St Germain.
