He said "according to the Star" and linked to the HDM's roundup of paper gossip, which opened up with: "HULL City are chasing Costa Rica’s Cristian Gamboa, according to the Daily Star Sunday." What more does he have to do to tell you which paper is the source of the gossip, for Christ's sake?
I've just come from the HDF website. Looking at all the rumours, some of it seems quite genuine, but then it doesn't name it's sources, it treats the rumours as fact, it is either poor, lazy journalism or it is very clever cos it's trying to portray itself as the source. It would seem more credible if it stated it's sources, like a website or a blog or a twatter snapshot.
But that's one of those close to a scoop jobs though. Joyce accepted the job in principal, then changed his mind at the last minute. It happens. If i tip you a horse, saying it's nailed on,the horse might be ten lengths clear in the final furlong, when suddenly,it breaks it's leg. It would still have been a good tip ?
The HDM linked us with about half a dozen managers after NB was sacked and even the day before Steve Bruce was appointed they claimed it's definitely NOT Steve Bruce the club have not even spoke to him. They guess like everyone else.
HDM don't seem to have a good relationship with the club, Burnsey seem to have more insight to what is happening at the club, and HDM seem to feed of their information.
The Mail says that Ince has agreed terms with us but has yet to sign. Could mean that he is looking to see if a bigger club comes in for him or it could mean that he is going to sign early this week. I suppose terms could have been agreed to over the phone. Lots of things one could think that means if he really has agreed to terms. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-despite-winger-having-agreed-terms-Hull.html
The Mirror think we're about to cough £2m for Andy Robertson... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-target-andrew-robertson-transfer-3820681?
@Hull_City_News · 1h #hcafc will complete the £4m signing of Michael Dawson in the next 48 hours (The Sun) @Hull_City_News · 33m #hcafc target Dundee left back Andrew Robertson for £2 million (Mirror) @Hull_City_News · 31m Stoke remain keen on Tom Ince despite the player having agreed terms with #hcafc (Daily Mail)
There were articles a couple days ago saying they rejected a verbal bid from us of 1.75 mill upfront with add-ons.
Burnsy David Burns ‏@bbcburnsy 42s Sticking points on Dawson deal could be a 4 year contract and no relegation clauses, while Ince deal could be £350k agents fee. #hcafc
I would have thought city would want a relegation release clause incase they want to get him off wage bill should the worse happen
Yeah hope that isnt true about Dawsons contract demands. Lower wages due to relegation is a must have clause in anyone's contract if they're on a big wage. Cant see us backing down over this one.
