As well as fans of other clubs... It's also worth noting that some have said they do not want him banned but do think he should change his behaviour.

 

for reasons known to his own ego he posted the poll...... and of course his mates have all waded in...

The internet would be really boring without WUMs to be honest, I get the impression people don't really dig it on this board though.

 

Well you can have everybody saying exactly the same thing and agreeing with everyone else all the time - or you can have a few rival fans making a bit of mischief and a bit of fun - I'd go for the latter - I don't hold with insulting others who hold different opinions but I sdd not see GTH doing that. Live and let live and ignore the ones who annoy you. Where is our sense of humour?

 

Would that matter? I read the forum very regularly but rarely post. I was beginning to fear the board was becoming a bit of an old boys club, this seems to reinforce that.

....and what's wrong with an "old boys club" - if you don't like that then you are perfectly free to go elsewhere - nobody is making you read this board. Go find a young boys board to be offensive on......

 

People like you hockdude get on my titty end. Just because we aren't posting edgy cutting comments all the time and aren't insulting each other, we are supposed to be "old boys"! Well go on then, break a habit, post a little more often and rejuvenate this board - if you can.

 

I don't know how we got into this poll.. and it has really only divided opinion....

I am afraid that since we all moved over to not606 these message boards are a shadow of what we had on 606 when, yes, we had more WUMs, more debate, and more engagement with more people from more clubs.... all of which made it a great place to hang out.... now apart from a few decent visitors.... we are subject to the odd idiotic poster who more people than not seem to want to indulge. I am as people will know pretty mild mannered on these boards... but I think this whole debate is making me rethink how I engage... as I really have no interest in the idiotic level of banter tinged I must say with what some may call racism..... and that is what I find objectionable......

I called out this fella a few messages back and suggest he might like to stand up and apologize for any offence caused to some people on this board.... and he chose not to respond..... that speaks volumes for me.

All from me on this matter and this thread.......


PS... and if course if we argue amongst ourselves then our WUM friend will be very happy.....
