    Hmm.........not surprised at that

Two European and two South American heavyweights.

    I want a Germany/Argentina final

  3. I wanted a Brazil vs Argentina final as it would generate the best atmosphere. Also predicted it too. However, Silva being suspended and Neymar out injured too I can't see it now

Agree, and you have to give it to those Krauts. They are always there or thereabouts,I think they will beat Brazil

  5. Probably although this view that they know how to win doesn't quite stack up when you realise they've not won it for twenty four years

I think the most likely final but the best final would probably be Brazil /Holland. An all European final would be quite boring and cagey <ok>

Yeah, surprising its been that long.Doesn't seem like it cos' they are usually in quarters/semis

I think they are the better team at the mo and will open up Brazil with Muller et al

I think the chances of that are fairly good. Agree that an all European final would be a bit of an anticlimax in Brazil, but I'd say Germany are all but through and it's far closer in the other semi. Perhaps the Netherlands are slight favourites as Argentina are too reliant on Messi. Bigger shock if Brazil, without Silva and Neymar, beat Germany than if Argentina beat Holland.

Don't be silly. I covered it once ET finished by backing the Dutch at 5/6, so I ensured that I won either way.

So Brazil have appealed against T.Silva's red card for blocking the keeper taking his drop kick, then putting the ball in the back of the net <doh>

I didn't think it was actually possible to appeal against a yellow unless it was for mistaken identity?

Would be a farce of FIFA overturned it so he could play in the semi, but wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Even the mighty FIFA can do nowt about Neymar's back though.

Though I suppose they could award Brazil a goal start on the grounds that he'd be bound to score if he did play.
