The curse continues, if I want them to win, they don't. Germany best team left in this, but expect a Brazil - Argentina final. I don't think the Dutch defence has what it takes to keep Messi, Higuain, Levazzi/Aguerro out. Also think the few Utd fans who are still purists are going to be very disappointed with van Gaal - a good manager, but winning ugly is his specialty. I didn't like Kruhl's sledging in the shoot out.
Sorry Col, not sure i agree, CR defended well against a team of European well paid footballers, where do the CR players ply their trade? I ask that question as I do not believe they all play in Europe. And Krull sledging when has that been part of penalties? I agree the best team over all games played won but not sure they deserved it tonight. Sorry just my thoughts, but then I am just a girly!
Yes on another day i agree, but it was not, it was today and that is why I respect CR for their resilience, team play and commitment. As i say just my thoughts, i am rubbish at tactics and formation just see it as it is.
Same for me Stan, all four of my quarter-final choices lost. Without Neymar Brazil have no saving grace, they are a nasty, ugly outfit. Germany are very shaky in defence and are too reliant on Neuer. I would be rooting for the Netherlands if it wasn't for Robben, who is a fantastic player but just a cheat. So it has to be Argentina.
