Check out http://exiledrobin.blogspot.com for it's newest post - thoughts on our new signing from myself and a Leeds fan not blinded by jealousy and sarcasm, unlike many others today.

    Interesting comparisons with Lee Johnson......????

Another good blog '77. The report by Jenny Berry says all that I have garnered from what's been written about him over the last few days. I think it remains to be seen what formation we will line up in this season (for the most part) and it's going to be interesting. Millen is making this HIS team and I think we all agree that we need to get some quality in the defence asap. We're looking very top heavy at the moment.

Just one small point mate, Leeds wouldn't break their pay structure which is why he left them. And also I believe Burnley were in for him aswell (according to Sky Sports) <ok>

Clearly you haven't because it still says we were offering ihm more money. (we weren't, that's why he left). He's ood but extremely replaceable. Not a promotion winning midfielder, more upper mid-table.

I think this is a good signing for us, He obviously has something about him as a few other championship clubs were interested they cannot all be wrong! Comparisons to lee johnson before seeing the guy play seems premature though and those comparisons are putting some of our boo boys on stand by before he has kicked a ball

He'll do a job for you. One job. And that job is slowing the play down and occassionally offering a decent pass.

Also, the "abusive" comments coming from Leeds fans are borne from the provocative comments coming from other fans suggesting they are "better" than us because the player rejected us and came to them, which is simply not the case. Well, technically it is, but Leeds didn't exactly go out of their way to try and keep him. Basically said he can stay for the same deal. Either that or **** off. He wasn't on the best deal, because he's not the best player, distinctly average and provides something. On top of the fact that people from Leeds are characteristically blunt and brutish in their comments.

We wanted to keep him as a backup, nothing more. You should not be taking our offering him a new contract as an indication that he is going to be a groundbreaking player for you. If you do, you will be sorely disappointed.

Every team that buys a player finds all the positives and good stuff.

Every team that loses one finds all the negative and bad stuff.

So what, we'll see for ourselves thanks.

Neil Kilkenny will do very well here at Bristol City, Keith Millen knows a good player when he see's one & our club will also make him a better player, just wait & see!! Bristol City are a club going forward & I believe will make the Premiership, not next season but very soon afterwards.

I know it was requested but not by me, I don't blame the thoughts of of the poster, this man is an excellent player and I'll trust the judgement of our manager, not a few very bitter Yorkie bars..

I never have and never will listen to waffle, but Kilkenny is having a fresh start and WE WANT HIM.

I still don't understand where this idea that we're bitter came from? The reason he is no longer playing for Leeds United is because he wanted paying more than what he was worth, so refused the contract. No other reason.

You're saying that we paid over the odds for him basically. Now unless you are privy to how much money is involved, with all respect you're talking bollocks. We've heard varying descriptions of his ability from Leeds fans and we'll make our own mind up about him this season.

You obviously have not seen the comments sent to him on Twitter, if that is not bitterness and abuse dont know what is. I will reserve judgment til I see him play, fresh start maybe good for him

But you seem to be deciding every negative comment we make is out of some kind of bitterness about not keeping him, but if you look way at comments back into last season you'll see many didn't rate him then. From what I've heard from you lot about this Lee Johnson he and Killa seem like carbon copies of each other. You clearly saw more in him than we did because clearly you offered him more money and more of an indication that he'd be starting games.

He may fit nicely in our team he may not. Time willl tell.

One things for sure a replacement Lee Johnson is not a bad thing, LJ has gone very stale and will never shift the monkey that is playing for his Dad. A player of similer style and quality with a fresh start and without the fans already on his back could really help the team find the standards we did when LJ was at his best.

I just hope people dont start getting at him because he is not 6 foot 2 and brutal in the tackle.

Everything I hear about him makes me think Lee Johnson, Gavin Williams, and David Noble, but lets give the guy a chance to show why he gets picked for the full Australia squad. He is surly no mug.

I'm sure he'll do a decent job for us, but I still think we need a "creative" midfielder that can spur on attacks for us. One guy who I think we would have a great chance with is Ravel Morrison. He's an academy player at Man Utd and is lauded as a great talent by their fans, even one for the first team if given some loan experience somewhere. The only issue with him is that the guy seems to be a bit of a tit and is involved with some rough crowds in Manchester. Last time I checked he was in court over violating witness protection. I'm sure that Fergie would welcome a move down to the south to get him away from everything and to get some first-team football, and as far as young loanees go we couldn't really do any better.

I think there will be a window to get someone really good if we can stump up the wages when the Premier League have to name their 25 man squads.

There are bound to be some quality guys that dont make the cut frim some of the big clubs.

Teams like Newcastle and West Brom will be clearing out after last seasons managment changes, there has to be some value there.
