Gutted for Cav Stan. Looks very much like broken clavicle. Tour over for him? What a star he is to get back on his bike and finish the race riding one handed with that injury. Puts a few fairy footballers to shame. Froome 6th! When did he become a sprinter? What a day Yorkshire has put on. The crowds were amazing.

What a turn out by the people of Yorkshire, the crowds were amazing. Gutted for Cav, couldn't have turned out worst for him being in his home town.

It looked to me as though Cav caused that, he was trying to force his way into a gap and pushed Gerrans into the rider next to him, who pushed back and Gerrans came back the other way and they went down. I hope he's ok but he did have that arm position typical of the shoulder injury.

Thing is, tomorrow they take in some amazing scenery and sights on the way into South Yorkshire, then head into Sheffield right through it's arse end.
They could hardly have chosen a worse route to enter the city.

Difficult to say it was Cav 100% at fault as both were vying for position on Sagans (was it?) back wheel. But Cav deffo came off the worst. Glad he's not broken anything, he'll be back on't bike tomorrow.

Really enjoyed the Yorkshire Tourist Board's documentary on ITV today, although a little puzzled as to why they titled it "Tour de France". Maybe the documentary was originally made to attract visitors from France (all places of interest were subtitled in French) & the title got lost in translation.

The stunning camera shots along with an with an interesting & informed narration showed God's own country to be, by far, the greatest & most beautiful place on earth.

I personally wouldn't of highlighted how busy the roads in Yorkshire get with weekend road hogging cyclists but Yorkshire folk are honest & simply tell it as it is.

.....and the good news is: Cav didn't break his collarbone, he dislocated his shoulder and damaged some ligaments.

But will he be fit to ride on..........?

Just out of interest, there are a couple of progs on the telly:

Tonight BBC4 @ 9.00pm 'Storyville: The Lance Armstrong Story - Stop At Nothing' and Monday Channel 4 @ 9.00pm 'The Armstrong Lie'.

Was going to watch the LA progs just to see what he says. Cav pulled out of Tour. Said crash was his fault. Fair play to him for owning up to it. Woukd like to see Cav back in the velodrome again one day.
