    Yes, I heard that, not Premier teams though, did you see the article in the Daily Echo, it said "Sevilla, who are also interested in the player, are said to have declared defeat in the race as they cannot match Saints' financial power", says it all I guess?

    Apart from a few usual suspects, we were one of the highest spenders in the EPL over the last 2 seasons. Definitely expect to be up there again this season.

    The poster above a few posts. The reason we aren't competing with the other big teams for these players is probably because they are after 'brand names' so they have paid larger sums to buy Southampton players. Buying Lallana looks better to their fans than tadic??? who's he. Man Utd will probably sell loads of shirts with Shaw on the back. A lot of these big teams' fans only watch PL and CL. They are pretty clueless about outside the Prem unless their team happened to play against somebody. Big Teams transfers often have an agenda of ability on the pitch vs commercial gains.
