I dream of winning the lotto, I know I will never win it but it doesn't stop me from dreaming.
I will continue to dream of saints challenging for silverware.

Saintrichie, I can only deduce from this post that you don't buy a ticket. Saints have a ticket :)

The dream is not over. The dream was just words that nobody really believed anyway. It wasn't a dream, just a hope, a small possibility. I think we are in a better position now than in May.

I think Koeman is going to do a great job here mainly because he isn't having to shuffle the pack to fit into his tactics / style of play. He can just get a chalkboard out, mark out what he wants and then tick the positions off when he's got his man. He can buy exactly what he wants rather than add a few of what he wants and then fits others into the other positions.

MP wasn't all that and while we played some great football, had some great results, it was the embarrassments like Cardiff and QPR and West Brom at home, Norwich away and both Chelsea and West Ham (home and away) this season that worried me more. The Cardiff game especially showed one of the main flaws that was penetration. eye of the needle precision passing is all well and good but even the most attractive top sides will mix things up.

Our football was like a filter funnel where the ball would always end up filtering back to the centre of the D at the edge of the box. Maybe we'll have some crosses from the byline, crosses from deep, balls over the top from now on to compliment the 'eye of the needle' stuff and maybe we'll be able to beat sides that sit back lauging at us trying to pass through the centre of 10 defenders!!!

I am really looking forward to next season and hopefully we can win the first game. After all we are playing a side that will need time to gel having made so many changes :D

"What's your birthday wish Dejan".... :p

I hope he has been talked around, we should just grab his phone and block Lallana and Lambert.

If we talked him around and add to the team without selling any more, Koeman and Reed can have my first born son. I think that would rank as a tumultuous and stressful but frankly incredible summer.

Still think he's the last out though. :)

If we lose Dejan, and he is the last one out from our starting XI, then I don't think it has been too bad. Morgan is the one player I really don't want us to part with.

I'd much rather lose Morgan than Lovren. I have far more faith in Cork and Wanyama to step it up than Maya or Jos.

Equally I think Lovren is cheaper to replace. Morgan is a fantastic player who would be expensive to like for like replace. If we weren't signing anyone then I'd lose Morgan of the two.

I've just seen a Norwich fan say Saints are being greedy by turning down £18m for Dejan. Maybe umm, we don't umm, want to sell?

A Liverpool fan on Twitter was saying that Saints were a "disgrace" for turning down the money for Lovren and that we epitomised everything that's wrong with British football (by being so greedy).

    Ummmmm...........

Ha, so not the systematic raiding of one club for three of your signings and leading the decimation of their side for exorbitant fees? Okay then.

Clasie could replace Morgan and he loves Koeman. (Not saying I want Morgan to leave).
