i must say the stretcher bearers were f'n hilarious.. they rolled the guy ridiculously and then they bounced him along like thery were carrying homer simpson... i expected him to fall out the back of the ambulance and down a cliff like in the comics it was that bad.

Best of luck with that barca.... it aint a month out, no chance.

Oh and yeah germany have a chance... brazil have a decent back line and with fernandinho in they are covered but they are total gash attacking wise bar hulk now and so germany have a lot of advantages IMO... great sweepstakes pikc for me.

nah fifa are covered. if brazil lose then theres the 3rd place play off and the unions etc know their deals needed to be done by now... there's no reason from here to cheat any more.

I'd say Germany are now massive favourites, as Brazil have lost their best goal-thread / creative player and their best defender for the semifinal. The only things going for Brazil now is the home advantage (with fan backing, not that that has ever bothered the Germans!) and their much lauded pluck and spirit. Massive upset if they beat the Germans now. Even before losing Neymar and Silva, this was probably going to be their hardest game.

Here's a quote (@10.06am) from the Live World Cup Sportsday thread on the BBC football page, as reported by Nabil Hassan and Luke Reddy [emphasis mine]:

<doh> Get a dictionary! These are supposed to be professionals with English/Journalism degrees. FFS!

On another, yet related, matter, did Zuniga get a booking for his back-breaking 'tackle'? . . .

Now Imagine if Suarez had done it . . . <laugh>

I noticed the "vertebrae" thing too.

Soon it won't matter what Suarez does. Once he plays for Barca he could start WWIII and get away with it.
In fact, we'd probably get the blame.

    End of every article:

... Global warfare was initiated by Luiz Suarez, who was also given an eight-match suspension and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra when playing for Liverpool.

The cover photo on #bbcsalford's World Cup news article is Neymar on the ground screaming his head off. But not when he was injured, it's from when he was tackled cleanly in the box and rolled around and around 7 times.

Doh! I knew I wasn't going to stay at the top of the tree for the duration. I always thought you or IBWT would finish top. Could be a two horse race soon. <ok>

Quite right <ok>. Fred was a goal machine for Brazil and a main reason Brazil came a comfortable 2nd to Argentina in WC qualifying.

Where's the WC being played again? <doh>

    Erm
Brazil didn't need to qualify. As host nation they were automatically in so Fred didn't score any in qualifying.

I can see why De Bruyne was sold by Chavs, he's a greedy ****er that doesn't even bother to look for his team mates just shoots from range.
