    Seems more than likely.

Oh well guess it wasn't to be.

NACHO Scocco’s agent has arrived on Wearside with an official transfer offer from Newell’s Old Boys for the Argentina international.

Scocco’s representative, Fabian Soldini, arrived in the UK ready to test Sunderland’s desire to hang on to a player Gus Poyet saw in January as the key to unlocking Premier League defences.

And Sunderland will have to decide whether the offer is enough to let the 29-year-old go, or to pursue Poyet’s belief that the South American could sparkle in English football once he had a full pre-season behind him.

Sunderland paid Brazilian outfit Internacional just over £3m in January for the signature of a player Poyet had long been an admirer of and who he believed could have the same sort of creative impact as Stephane Sessegnon once had at the Stadium of Light.

But the Argentina international striker failed to make any impression, appearing just six times in the league - all as a substitute - and not getting on the scoresheet once.

Poyet insisted that Scocco would come back stronger next season after adjusting more to life in England and getting the pre-season under his belt which he missed before his move to the Stadium of Light.

Besides until we get some ins cannot have anymore outs, totally and worryingly threadbare

Aye was just looking at the first team squad last night.
We're very thin on the ground to say the least.

Just a bit. Scocco going, Graham going (hopefully). Leaves us with Wickham (ain't signed a contract). Fletcher (injury prone) and Altidore (useless, can't score).

Why i'm sure Poyet has several things in the pipeline.

Don't see this happening, they don't have 3m to spend, he's under contract, they can't afford him, we're not a charity.

What can we do if nobody matches his valuation though? We can't force clubs to cough up. He'll have to go to club who can afford him or stay here. We're not Scocco Association Football Club, we're Sunderland. We're not here to fix it for poor home sick Scocco to make his dream move at our expense.

What would you do Stu? Take a 2 million loss on him in 6 months? The man is an Adult who signed a contract with the advise of representation, we owe him nothing, he needs to be a Pro about it.

like every thing else for sale ,car ,house , anything safc might have to take a hit on the money and drop the asking price ,people who signed and sanctioned this player should be held accountable ,safc have a huge mistake on their hands and some employees are getting very well paid to avoid this sort of thing,no different from dg really ,socco will be sold and must be sold even at a loss because he is of no use to the club at all.

Poyet rates him. Poyet thinks we's of some use to the club.

I reckon I'll go with Poyet over you Stu. You have a track record of giving people **** prematurely.

Aye and I'm sure if Scocco starts banging them in you'll praise him to. My point is I'm no going to deem him useless until our manager does.
