Be a lot more when they have finished.
Does anyone know how much the tubby lards have contributed to the new pitch?
Also just used Priory Park 'Park and Ride'. Driver was bored stiff, the car park was virtually empty (two cars on it) I asked if I was on the last bus? 'No pal, it's rugby init, not as though that meks much difference, they bring nowt, not like the football, run off our feet then, but rugby? no, no-one comes into the city for that do they?'

Is there animosity between the clubs themselves or just the supporters?

For those asking about KC pitch, the work was never due to be finished for this game, it's not finished yet but couldn't switch this match

I'm no gardener but does that make sense? It's not finished yet so there's bare patches? Surely it'd grow more evenly than that?

Maybe something to do with the growing lamps? They only cover a small area at any one time.

Seems mental that it could be all done apart from those small patches.

It's midsummer- no need for any growing lamps.

All that work for it to be ruined before it's even finished.

It's a pointless exercise then if they're gonna play on it before it's done, it won't be ready. It'll be a pig sty by January.

    1. Don't know whether you live in Iceland but or further north but the sun does set here. There is an obvious need for the lamps because they will bed used at dusk, dawn and overnight.

    2. We live in England and the weather is incredibly inconsistent and surely common sense prevails. Sunny spells here and there aren't going to be enough for a brand new pitch to grow properly or quick enough.

    3. The pitch has only been down a couple of weeks.

    4. The pitch is surrounded by stands and the grass will get inconsistent levels of sunlight based on the shadows cast by the stands.

    5. You're kind of insinuating you know more than the professionals and experts on the subject. If they didn't need to use them then they wouldn't but clearly they do.

A Premiership football club should not be sharing a ground with another club, let alone from another sport. It was once a relevant concept but as Hull City has progressed to the top level, it is no longer suitable and reeks of amateur.

The stage and level that Hull City are performing at is far superior to that of Hull FC and thus it is a shame that the ground share is at the detriment of Hull City.

The condition of the pitch for Hull City is greater than that of Hull FC. Not in a Rugby Vs Football argument but in what Hull City does for Hull and the local region in terms of tourism, money generation and the increase of reputation on a worldwide map.

If AC Milan and Inter Milan can share a ground then Hull FC and Hull KR can share a ground. It might not work in terms of East Hull Vs West Hull but a ground share between the two rugby clubs in 2014 makes more sense than sharing with a football club.

I am not sure I agree with your ground share argument, even in your final paragraph it's ok for AC & Inter Milan to ground share but not Hull City?

I thought it was proven that City actually do more damage to the pitch than Dull FC, maybe I read that on here and took it as gospel, but my point is the stadium needs to maximise its use, but also without overdoing it, just to increase income for the stadium. I agree with you about City and their exposure is greater, but let's not get too far up ourselves here, We weren't always at these heady heights, and it wasn't that long ago we would have been envious of some of the crowds the egg flingers got.

There are certainly some aspects of the club that are still amateur, ground sharing isn't one of them.

I'm sure by the start of the season the pitch will look fantastic.

I refute my comments, we shouldn't judge others, they worked their hardest to get the pitch sorted, who are we to judge hard work?

I found god tonight, we are all beautiful people, why should we fall out over such a beautiful love for our city? the joy brought to so many even though some share different views?
