Looks like Webber pulled it together in the final sector after having a "average" middle sector being 2 tenths off his teammate.

And actually Alonso should have had 3rd if it wasn`t for his drop off in the final sector. He was quicker than Hamilton in all sectors until the final one where he dropped 3 tenths.

I think Ferrari are now faster than McLaren. Massa being ahead of Button is further evidence of this.

Lewis might get swamped by both Ferrari's if he just focuses on getting infront of the 2 Red Bulls, we all know how quick Alonso is off the line.

but they've also burned up an extra set of tyres to do it. LH 13 laps, JB 14 laps, Alonso 20 laps, massa 20 laps. Ferrari flatter to deceive in Quali, their race pace drops away. Alonso nearly always qualifies ahead of Button, but where does he finish?

But I would say that Ferrari's race pace is much better than their quali pace, its because Mclaren have the best race pace which is why Button sometimes finishes ahead of him ;)

The only reason Alonso is mostly below Button is because up until Canada McLaren were faster. Before that Button was ahead of Alonso 4 times to 2. What happened in Canada was weather based and Buttons driving rather than the car.

Pretty disappointed with the outcome today but was taken in a bit by the hype that it would be closer at the front, I'm not as technically minded as a lot of F1 fans but am hoping whatever they are doing with the rules regarding exhausts will even it out a bit in future. Can't see past another Red Bull win tomorrow but have fingers crossed that Alonso goes well and that Hamilton responds to criticisms in a positive way.

Just found out Lewis would be happy with a 3rd today, to see he is settling in for example is not very good for a racing driver, he needs to battle, you would think the way he idolises Senna would show he wanted to win whatever the cost...

I'm not so sure Manny. Considering his two most recent results, I don't think it's an unreasonable for him to be happy to finish on the podium. But, just because he would be satisfied with 3rd doesn't mean he's not going to try and win.

Would be very foolish to consider Lewis will go tip toeing into the first corner. How many times did he make contact with Seb last year?

Though the saving grace for both Red Bulls today is Fernando being next to Lewis and Massa being just behind. If Lewis ins't careful he might get chucked down to 5th in the second corner.

Everyone seems to think Lewis is going to be conservative, but he ain't.

    He will win this race.

I hope he does something because this is the least excited I've felt before a race all season.

Anyone except Vettel will do nicely for me, and the icing on top would be Alonso and Hamilton in front of Vettel by the end of the first few laps.

Yeah I agree, I think it was the disappointingly anti-climatic quali yesterday that has sucked some of the excitement out of the race for me. That said Mclaren and Ferrari are much closer to Red Bull on race pace and with the 2011 regs there should be overtaking, my only worry is that Webber will act (intentionally or not) as a buffer from Vettel and Alonso/Hamilton which will let Vettel pull a gap and control the race again, I would be much more excited if Hamilton or Alonso were on the front row with Vettel.

I'm sure Alonso and Hamilton will be determined to pass Webber at the start, which may cause an incident, so let's hope they can keep it clean. Quali was such a let down and I really want to see them racing each other today.

New members should have to make ten posts without using the words "Lewis" or "Hamilton" before they're allowed to discuss him at all.
