After reading the Sunderlnd all-time best lifetime 11 thread I got to thinking about the team that we could have put together with our managers over the years. Goalkeeper is always going to be a problem - why do so few keepers go on to become managers? My compromise is to put Mick McCarthy in goal. With the 10 in front of him I doubt that he would have too much to do then RB: Bally (I know he wasn't a right back, but any winger trying to go past him on the outside would end up in row Z along with the ball) CB1 Terry Butcher CB2 Steve Bruce LB Len Ashurst MF M O'Neill MF Roy Keane MF Peter Reid MF Gus Poyet CF SNQ CF Paolo de Canio AmI the only one who would gladly pay to watch that team in action?
Great players but the team would have the width of a strand of spaghetti and would get utterly spanked.
As long as you stay solid down the middle you won't go far wrong. As for the wetting yourself whilst in flagrante - best to see a doc mate.
imo that's got the making of a damn good team. Butcher/Bruce would be really solid. Reid/Keane would just kick f**k out of everyone. Poyet. PDC, would be classy, and SNQ would thrive of them. Potentially a lot of classy goals
