To be honest with all the released players I am wondering if this trip was worth it? How many on this trip will actually start next season? I hope we have the new faces in before we start the friendlies...
I wouldn't mind Becchio back to be fair. Can't blame him for trying to make it in the Premiership, at the end of the day he is playing to be the best he can be and any pro given the chance to play at the highest level should take it. If he comes back and contributes in a positive manner it can be beneficial especially as he is proven at this level and at least we have someone ready for when McCormack goes.
It's the way he and agent acted that annoyed me and his display against Barnsley was a disgrace, don't want him back, but that's just my opinion...
That's understandable I agree with you on that but I just think it could be time to forgive and forget and if he was to come back and perform to a good standard then I think most people will warm to him again, just slightly worried that we may have no goal scorer when McCormack leaves and I think although Becchio isn't as prominent, at least he knows what's required at this level.
Becchio back!!!! No smith rumours as a forward coach? Can both feck off. Evening all, from a warm evening in spain.
If he comes back and scores regularly for us, I can't be bothered. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, whoever takes the field first day of the season, starts with a clean slate. There were many reasons over previous seasons why players left, gave up or whatever. It's a whole new beginning this time round and a chance of a new start for everyone especially us fans
Will only accept Becchio is he says sorry & takes a huge pay cut. Smith has a higher scoring ration ratio than him anyway, so why bother, unless he's going to be a cheap backup option (and we all know that's not going to happen!).
Howya Este.....raining here, just waiting for the Brazil game to start, gone for both to score. Got a few ales in as well.....
Howya WJ, Eire........if he was to come back, he'd have to take a wage cut. Anyway it's all if's and maybe's press bollox, I'll believe it when I see it...
The wage cut will prevent it shaks. Can't see Cellino paying over 5k a week to anyone given the efforts he's made to get rid of the high earners and his statements re overpaid players. That's probably a third of what he earned two years ago with us
Howya Shako, wish it was raining here being chopping trees down all day,30c in the shade!!! Glad you got some ale in me too Evening elland, nice car,but not for me,where do I put the kids and the chainsaw etc? JOck,Eire.
