Ronny first game, Celtic v F-K Krasnodar, 3-1 (Stokes, Johansen, McGregor). Played quite well apparently, I didn't see the game, I read a match thread on another site. Obviously it's all about getting fit and getting the squad in shape, nevertheless a good result against a good outfit.

I watched the first half online. The opposition were hacking our boys for most of it. It was very positive football by Ronnie and his bhoys.
RONNY Deila believes his squad are on the right track following Celtic's victory over FK Krasnodar in the first pre-season match of 2014/15. The Hoops triumphed 3-1 against the Russian side in the sweltering heat of northern Austria and the manager was pleased with the overall performance. However, he told the official Celtic website that tonight’s game was just the first step to improvement and already knows where he wants to see the team develop. “The match was good and we had a victory but perhaps it was too big when you look at the chances Krasnodar created but it’s good to have a good goal keeper, and tonight we showed we have at least two,” he said. “We came across a very good team but tonight the boys worked hard and I am very pleased with the attitude, but of course, there are things to develop and we want to look at the physical shape of the team as well, which we want to improve.” One of the manager's main goals when he took the Celtic job was to develop a style of high pressing and high intensity attacking from his side, which he saw glimpses of tonight. Celtic scored the first goal, through Anthony Stokes, within two minutes of the match kick off as as result of his players’ hounding of the opposition. He hopes to see more of that in the coming games and added: “It was good to see the pressing but we need to have the ball more to attack. “Sometimes you don’t have the ball though and you have to defend and I think we did that well. I saw some attacks in my style and spirit that I liked but we need more – we need that all the time and that will take some time.” Celtic went into half time leading the game 2-1. The manager changed the entire team for the second half, giving many of the U20 squad a chance to shine. Those youngsters met the opportunity head on, with Callum McGregor, Liam Henderson and Leo Fasan among the many standouts. Ronny Deila had special praise for the Italian ‘keeper, who had an outstanding save late in the second half, and the other players outside of the first team. “It’s very important to have such a depth of talent in the squad,” he added. “Fasan works hard. He has been here since he was young and development can often take longer for goal keepers because you need more experience in the goal but he has come very far and Stevie (Woods) has done a fantastic job with him and it was very fun for him and great for me to see him perform so well. “As we move forward we will look at things we want to do better. Already I know things I want to see more of. “I love to win and hate to lose so it’s a good feeling but I want to win in a better way and I think that will come in time.”
Celtic 1-1 Rapid Vienna. Pukki. Another encouraging result against credible opposition. No word on Browns injury. He'll be a bad miss if he's out for long.
Getting worried about the qualifiers , no Brown , Forrest and Biton and three players not back from the world cup and no home games !!!
Izzy's back, I would imagine Fraser is back too although can't prove that. Effe is hardly irreplaceable and Biton is a squad player. We'll have harder games and worse problems over the course of the season, I would expect this game to be very much a formality.
I do have a fair collection of hip flasks, no one told me not to wear them all at the same time, no wonder I need a bath chair and carer to get around these days
