We'll know soon enough, Ince and Dad arent going to **** about with one of their best mates in Brucey.

Dad wants a great deal for his lad and knows the ins and outs of transfers, I imagine it will be release clauses etc they are haggling over.

Dad will be aware of how much Hudd Jelly are on and will be driving for that or close to it. I imagine we will see him as unproven and nowhere near that. Incey will want a clause in it about a renegotiated deal after 6 months when he's the greatest player in the world or summat......

    Maybe :bandit:

I'm hoping the lack of news on ince is because they're getting nearer to a signature! Surely if talks had broken down we'd have heard by now?

I do hope we dont waste time on Ince & Dawson. If neither really want to come here and are hoping that a "better" club comes in for them then we should look else where.

I still dont get Bruce's fascination with British players, spend that £5m that Dawson would cost in Europe and bring in someone else. Same for Ince, if we are willing to pay the touted £8m id much rather see us bring in some talented young winger from elsewhere.

I think he learnt at Sunderland disharmony in the dressing room between particularly foreign egos is not the best team building ingredients, so British and Irish players generally get on well together.

I don't get the Blackpool training costs as thought Ince was at Liverpool until he was 17/18

Just read the piece and it's based on one line at the bottom of an article in the Telegraph, which suggests that he might be reluctant to leave Spurs, as was the case two years ago when AVB took over. Wouldn't read anything into that at all.

We know how quick deals can be completed, the Snodgrass deal would have been sooner but some paperwork held it up over the weekend apparently.. if we've agreed a fee with spurs and held talks with dawson, surely if he wanted to sign for us it would all be done and dusted in a few days and we'd be hearing some sort of confirmation.. same for the ince deal, if we dont hear anything over the next few days you have to wonder what or who is holding it up..

He might well want to stay in London, in which case that would fit if he is dragging this out hoping either DQPR or Palace come in for him.

Yes maybe, but isn't he a Yorkshire lad? And his brother is only a few miles away and he may have family up here too.

I heard a suggestion that Dawson would be completed Friday anyway, so I see no reason why that won't happen. Clearly, if he doesn't sign today, then maybe one of the London clubs have got to him.

OLM sez on Twitter that the Tom Ince Pope-mobile has hit Stoke. It's a farce.

We will bid for Robertson, Ince to agree terms by Tuesday, and Dawson personal terms agreed.

Dawson for me is more important than signing Ince, I am not bothered either way whether he comes or not. He may turn out to be a good addition if we signing, I hope he does, but equally could be someone a bit like Cameron Stewart that just doesn't have the right attitude.

Hull City have launched a bid to sign Dundee United youngster Andy Robertson as moves for Blackpool's Tom Ince and Tottenham's Michael Dawson inch ever closer to completion.

Having held productive talks with both Dawson and Ince this week over proposed transfers to the KC Stadium, the Tigers have also joined a clutch of Premier League teams interested in Robertson.

Contact has been made with Dundee United in the past 48 hours and though talk of a formal bid is so far premature, City have sounded out how much it would take to land the reigning PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year.

An offer upwards of £2m would prove difficult for the SPL side to reject in a week that has already seen them sell Ryan Gauld to Sporting Lisbon for £2.2m and sources in Scotland expect City to soon firm up their interest.

West Brom, Everton and Southampton have all been touted as potential obstacles to a deal but West Ham United, who had a £1.5m bid for Robertson rejected this week, yesterday turned their attentions to Ipswich's Aaron Cresswell.

City's pursuit of left-back Robertson has escalated quickly. The 20-year-old has earned a reputation as one of Scottish football's brightest prospects and Steve Bruce has leapt into action following West Ham's failed bid.

The talent of Robertson was noted during an excellent first season at Tannadice. In a meteoric rise that has followed his switch from part-time football at Queens Park 12 months ago, the Glasgow-born youngster ended the season by earning a first Scotland start in the 2-2 draw with Nigeria in May.

City have previously made enquiries for Danny Rose of Spurs and Doncaster's James Husband this summer, but Robertson is the left-back Bruce has settled on.

If the Tigers boss has his way, Robertson could soon join Ince and Dawson at the KC. City are optimistic over their chances of signing Ince early next week after he visited East Yorkshire for talks on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old has indicated he would be willing to join the Tigers and a deal could be struck in time for him to join new team-mates for a week of warm-weather training in Portugal next week.

Talks would then need take place between City and Blackpool over the compensation owed for a free agent aged under 24, or alternatively see a figure set by tribunal.

City are also hopeful of securing Dawson before flying to the Algrave on Thursday. A fee, believed to be around £4m, has provisionally been agreed with Tottenham, with the Tigers willing to meet the defender's demands.

A minor sticking point has come with payments due at White Hart Lane but it is hoped a willingness to get a deal done should iron out any problems.

The latest moves, lined up on top of deals for Jake Livermore and Robert Snodgrass, could take a summer of spending beyond the £25m mark.
