I think its quite important as we cruise towards the new season that the fan base recognises that not all new additions are going to work. That is how football is, because its not some virtual game but real with human beings For me, if 3 or even 2 of the newbies come through then I will be very happy, and i'm sure SC will also Please, please don't judge Cotterill on the failures, because if it were that easy then everyone would be doing it
Sorry BRR but I've been decorating the house or tarting it up to sell, so not able to devote usual time to the posts. You are, of course, as you always are, correct. Last season SC got only one wrong, el abd of course. Hoping he don't get any wrong this season. PS, I have been talking to myself for almost 71 years and I still cannot make any sense from what I say!
Patience is a virtue that many of us do not possess but your words of wisdom are spot on BRR. We must realize that success is not a right but needs to be earned on the pitch, and for that we must believe that SC will get it right and had brought in a good mix of players to at least get us back to a respectable spot in the league. Maybe promotion is not achievable this season but with a better attitude and performances you just never know. Starting to get itchy feet now and can't wait until the season gets under way.
If we can put some points on the board early in the season then we ought to do well. But we've been here before and with City my glass is usually half empty........ IMO it's a slightly better (harder) division than it was last year and I think Doncaster, Yeovil and Barnsley will all do well, plus Sheff U, PNE and hopefully us
Just had a thought about Fleetwood. If their neighbours, Blackpool, had been relegated last season as looked possible, they would have been in the same league as Fleetwood. When Blackpool were in Prem three years ago, how many leagues separated the two clubs then?
